What I still don’t get. Who the hell at Nike think it’s a good idea to limited stock? One guy says „well we can easily sell 200.000 pairs of a 20 bucks shoe for $200“ and who says now „ok, let’s make 20.000 of them and let the big business to the re-sellers“ ??

tbh he is the reason Nike is failing trend wise he did bring a better online presence for Nike, but he also destroyed Nike sales by giving other retailers most of the stock of their shoes for releases literally making people go to other stores or sources to find Nike shoes vs coming to Nike stores or etc. I also think during the whole hype era Nike was basically creating this image they were doing fine or that they were winning but really, they weren't it was a facade covered by the hype due to the economy and they been on a decline since 2021 if u go back to their stock history. Which proves just that. These hyped releases people focus on so much don't do much for the brand really in terms of money or profit really. Their bread and butter are their GR's and shoes that the general public is buying not the small percentage of people collecting shoes. Thats why the Pandas where so popular because it was a shoe that everyone bought not just sneakerheads.

They just released the pandas back at most outlets I’ve been to. I always like them, and may buy another pair to have on standby. At least now I won’t have to pay $300+ for a pair (which I wouldn’t do anyway) from the secondary market. Unless it’s a REALLY special edition pair ( promo, friends & family, etc) they should release ALL of them in bigger numbers (Travis Scott’s) They would make more money because people would buy more shoes. I don’t think just sneaker heads would buy them.

@@Majestic167 yea but that would last only so long look at Amm yesterday. Which literally made sure they made enough pairs for most fans to get a pair, and they are sitting still because. No one actually wants stuff that sits unless ur a true fan of that brand or really mess with the design of the shoe. people always want what others can't have or get. It's the drive behind limited products but. I do feel there is a perfect range don't make too many but make enough to at least give those a chance.

What has made me dislike Nike more than ever is they make 95%+ ugly & if it’s in the 5% it’s an “exclusive”. Other brands like new balance & Adidas didn’t even have to try bc the attention has been given away. Hopefully lesson learned is listen to the customer they have the monies
