Nike - Cross Training 2000 (1999, France)

Michel Gondry does what he did with action thrillers in his Smirnoff spot to video games, setting his protagonist on the run among Tony Hawk, FIFA, aliens, M.J., Lara Croft, a T-rex who freely bites a tennis player's head off* because this is a French ad, you name it. Ready Player One who? Directed by Gondry at Partizan Midi-Minuit, with animation by BUF.
*A 30-second version of this ad aired in the UK. The way this scene was cut was only a few frames of blood were visible after the tennis player's head was bitten off, then flash to all the characters running after the player.
