Hey Josh I noticed something about these boots compared to the original launch colorway. it may be because they're black and not bright but to me it seems that they wrapped the boots with nike skin.I don't own any pair but from what I've seen from your videos you can see a difference comparing these to the original and how the material looks. Both shoes have a NikeSkin top layer. It's clear on the launch colorway and solid black on these. Exactly the same shoe, just colorway variation.

You've essentially told me that you want a shoe that has good touch and is comfortable. You would want those characteristics from any boot, so that doesn't really help to narrow things down. You're asking about shoes that are all over the place when it comes to fit and feel, so it doesn't look like you've really narrowed down exactly what you're looking for. There are videos for all of these boots up on my channel where I go over all of the details. The details are what matters, and it really is up to you to deicde what appeals to you the most.

Hey Josh million dollar question... why do my size 9 night strike phantoms 3 night strike low cut weigh like 7.05 and 7.15 oz... I have another pair of phantom 3 in the volt with black and those in same size low cut are actually like 6.6-6.8 oz and do feel lighter in hand than my night strike. In all your phantoms have you seen any inconsistencies in the weight cuz you always say they are 6.6 oz?

There's always going to be slight variation from one pair to the next, even between the left and right boots, with any shoes. Just a little more or a little less glue holding everything together could be an extra 10 grams. Could be a bad scale as well.

thanks for the reply. i guess thats true but .4-.5 oz is a big difference in my opinion. cant be the scale because i used to same one for my volt and black colorway and those came out lighter around 6.6-6.8 for both feet. something to keep an eye out for if weight means everything which to me it doesnt but i cant help but feel i bought a cheaper version that didn't pass all the quality control levels. if such a thing exists, its probably where all the ross and marshalls shoes end up for dirt cheap or worse, sold by shady salesmen on ebay.

The material used on that boot to get that effect was fairly rigid and felt like plastic in all honesty. It's a cool concept as a limited edition boot, which it was, but not necessarily something that I think makes for the best feel.
