So true. I was just telling someone earlier today how I can't really wear my Ultra Boost all day cuz the kill my legs. Also, they hurt my achilles when I try to ball in them. Some other boost models are less squishy and better for exercising. Ultra Boosts are just for chilling, in my opinion.

Ultra boost was my first more expensive pair of sneakers and I have worn them a couple times for running and lifestyle. I absolutely love them. So comfy. Definitely worth the price (even though I try and get mine on sale...which adidas regularly has). All the color ways they have is cherry on top. I do want to try the Nike epic reacts though but I think in terms of lifestyle clothing...something about UBs just pop 👌🏻 the joy rides look super cute too!

No thanks not a fan of zoom. Just get a real running shoe like Brooks, ASICS or Mizuno. Zoom feels like my feet is being hit by the ground. Boost has just changed the game for me, plus I over killed the comfy set up with X3 honey comb comfort insoles that just basically means I AIN'T GOING BACK TO NIKE ANY TIME SOON. I've lost my faith in them, they just want to look flash but no substance (durability of first Gen react comes to mind)

Epic Reacts have been my favorite non-racing running shoes that I've owned, although I've had some Boost models that weren't as squishy as Ultraboosts and performed well. They do bottom out sooner than React though, regardless of model.

Would the Reacts be good for fast walking? I do 6 mile walks every day so not sure if running shoes translate to walking... reacts seem to be that perfect balance between cushion and firm.

@@Mr-E. they will be fine for walking. They aren't as squishy/bouncy like Ultraboosts and feels more stable and firmer. For walking though, there are better options out there. For the same price as the current Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit 3, you can get Hoka Bondi 7 which would be much better suited for walking/standing (and great for runs as well). My mom is a nurse and wore the Epic Reacts 2 since 2019. She replaced them with the Hoka Bondi 7 and they were much better suited for walking a lot and standing all day to her. I would still try those on in store first before buying since they are $160 for either one without any sales/promos

Completely agree. I've been wearing Nike for 10+ years, literally not a single other brand sneaker. Tried the boost and returned em same day for the same reason. Another thing is no matter the shoe, size 10 fits in Nike. I've tried other brands but also returned em cause their siding as inconsistent at best. I mostly order my sneakers online so it's nice knowing they'll fit me matter the style.

I have the joyrides, It dosnt feel like a sock at the front of the soul it feels amazing, it’s my favorite shoes I’ve ever had I’ve had body, react, zoom , Nike air, and Joyride it’s so comfortable I can’t explain. they are also very reliable, they are so good that u can slip them on when u are tired or lazy. the shoes are super easy to put on , just grab the lilttle rope at the back of the shoe and Slide in. Joyrides are the best shoes💯👍🏼👌🏼

I bought Joyride, and next day had a run, after 4K my foot injured because of the shape of the footbed, it changes all the time and became empty spot on the bed... I hardly warn you not have joyride...

Can we all agree on something? Boost is more preferable for lifestyle and casual wear. I mean, the UB19 is modified for running but come on; ain’t nobody gonna run in boost. Joyride seems actually pretty cool and I’d love to try it but I don’t think it will be something that will be as popular as boost is. Just an opinion, I’d like to hear yours!

For me it’s abvious between react and boost: if you run in hard surfaces like city streets and stuff with slow speeds and mainly with your heels go with boost but if you wanna run faster and more with your tiptoes go with react

Seth is right. I have some UltraBoosts, and they are unreal in terms of how comfortable they are. I can walk around all day and my feet won't get sore. I went to NY with some friends and we walked around all day for 10 days straight. They were running some standard NB shoes, they were complaining that their feet were sore and I didn't feel a thing. On the other hand the Boosts are probably too soft for running where you don't want to lose too much energy in your sole. But for lifestyle shoes, you can't go past Boost for comfort.

I own a pair of Puma Jamming. The sole felt hard on the first 2x of wearing and it’s actually the lining that makes it feel soft and not the mid sole as i expected it to be. But the more you wear them, the softer, more comfortable they become... strange but amazing technology. I must say, the Joyride is the updated version of it. And i totally agree with you about the crumpled sock feeling in the fore foot, i felt it when i tried it on during their launch here in dxb.

I have a pair of solar boost, I've had them for 2 years and I've used them both for lifestyle and parkour, so you understand what type of stress the shoe is put through. They are still holding up, they are almost perfect, the left one got a few holes but that's it. 2 years of parkour usually mutilate a shoe, but these ones are absooutely tanking everything

UB for lifestyle, react for running. How 'bout working in standing for 8~10 hrs. Epic React by far. The cushioning, the bounce, ankle medial and lateral support breath ability. 6 months already and still working fine.

Im a competitive runner and I tried all three in my opinion the react is the least good, the boost is the best running on intense training days but it can sometimes hurt your joints because it sort of stifens up after long hard runs and the joyride is the best on recovey days because its very easy on the legs

If you find Ultraboost to soft for running try a pair of the newer alphaboost they are alot firmer and break I'm very well, adi zeros and energyboost are alot lighter and are better for running in my opinion everything is besides running I'm in Ultraboost almost every day

I love my ultraboost for walking around the mall or something or if I go somewhere with my friends where we will be walking a lot, they're fantastic. I'd never go to the gym in them though or run in them. They're too soft for that. Especially lifting you want something with a very solid base, and idk I just feel like they're too mushy for running. I don't ever run though so whatever lol.

Idk if this is relevant but joyride was designed to not mold itself permanently in place like other shoes I think you read the description wrong on the shoe the cushion in joyride isn’t supposed to flatten out or mold permanently so they’re doin a pretty good job of that if they don’t flatten or mold

I own a bunch of ultra boost im always on my feet and the ultra boost would make my legs and back hurt after a long day of wearing them. theyre only comfortable when theyre new after breaking them in theyre not as comfortable. Once I saw the joyride I was curious about the beads and got them tried em on and u can feel softness and cushion tried them on took them to work got home and noticed my legs and back wasnt hurting. I dont get why ppl are bothered by the pockets inside u cant feel em once ur foot is inside. Trust me joyride is better

I run in nike exp x14 with react and alphabounce. I been running in both for 3 months now. To my surprise I came to the conclusion that bounce is superior to react though fairly silimilar but for running only. I can't run in ultraboost which I've tested it. When running With boost you can feel the ball of your foot hitting pretty hard If you are a mid striker.

I never tried nike react but I have a pair of jordan's why not zero 2 and i think they use nike zoom which is pretty amazing. In the other side I prefer for running the adidas alphabounce beyond. For running and doing gym are great, for lifestyle it's meh. A lot of people says that the alphabounce is better for long distance walk/running but I don't know, I use this almost everyday so when I use boost is like a disconnection. I like boost but it's hard to clean and i'ts more for lifestyle. For me, the best is nike zoom if u like something bouncy
