Nike KD16 Performance Review! Are They Good?

I just tried these on (in the dark purple Suns colorway) and they surprised me…like a lot because I was NOT expecting much. The upper was very comfortable and they fit my feet perfectly, and with a slightly tighter tie they had extremely good lockdown without Achilles pain (hard to achieve for me because I have Achilles tendinitis). They felt WAAY better than the Lebron 21. I like the KD15 minus the heel slip and the cushioning felt a little too low to the ground after break-in (despite being Zoom and Cushlon). I don’t like court feel and 16s feel higher and thicker, and like they would provide more impact protection for bigger thicker guards like me (I’m 5’11” and 205lbs). For reference, my main shoe is the Cut 2s for the cushioning and traction (hate the heel slip)

you said you went true to size and you felt pain using it. How is it now after some months of use? do you still have those pains when using them or do the shoes stretch in or break in that the feeling of pain is no longer experienced.

This was an excellent video, DG!! My stance hasn't changed on the KD16: I think that the silhouette is TRASH TRUCK JUICE. 🚛💦💦👐😖 But your detailed explanation of the experience with the shoe confirms that I'm doing the right thing by passing on them. NIKE should just throw the KD16 in the ID SHOP, maybe THAT will change my outlook on them. 🫵💯👍
