Played competitive bb from the late 80s over whole 90s and still playing at least once a week. As I can say from my experience over numerous different shoes ; stay away from EVERY shoe build with an visible air max unit on mid foot as seen here. Even the advice to take you time until the middle gets more stable should be warning enough to stay away. Every other budget low top will give you more lateral protection

Yeah, the break-in period is terrible in Witness 7. I rolled my ankle 3-4 times consecutively. Hope so these pair show justice later on.

Bought the kids version of this shoe, looks a bit different and much better than the adult version and it still costs $100 and thats not a budget kids basket shoe in my opinion.

Go true to size and just fine. Toe box area has enough room for everyone, and mid foot section is well-secured.

DO NOT BUY if you like your ankles. Rolled right ankle after 20 min of play and im not alone. It should be rebranded to LeBron Ankle Killer. As 6 and 7 has same construction it will kill your ankles.

Same cushion and same thread, only the upper changes and the lateral supports is lower positioned so I would choose witness 6
