Personally I prefer the Vapor 9 over the Vapor 10. Having a 1 piece upper made it very difficult for me to put on the shoes, plus the Vapor 9 does look a bit more premium. Thank you ***** For this video, very helpful.

Just got vapor 10 i used to have vapor 9, and MAN i was impressed, the sole plate was excellent the touch felt amazing and i liked the tight fit. You barely need to break it in. I was very impressed.

Only thing I would want to say about traction is that; amateur players like myself who can't afford (or don't need) all of FG/SG/AG boots, will have a choice mostly, to have a SG soleplate with maybe a turf shoes. For me, I don't particularly like SG boots because it feels heavier (psychological more than anything else), so in most conditions, I prefer to wear FG. But as you know, in Britain, it gets soggy and extremely muddy in winter, and most FG boots can't do the job. I used to love the F50s, but FG F50s cannot perform in wet conditions; it was very very very slippery. So I had to have a SG F50s as well as FG version. The great thing about Vapor 9 stud pattern, is that it still is good enough for wet, muddy conditions, so in my opinion, it was more of an overall boot for me. The blades are good enough for normal firm and soft ground conditions, so I will say it was great pattern in terms of overall use.

I have both the speed control upper (golf ball like) and leathery finished upper and I can say that both produce 2 different feels. I prefer the leathery because it helps me to control the ball a lot more naturally while the speed control upper grip a little bit more which is not my preference. Anyway, I just bought the Vapor X and can't wait to give it a try. Since my season haven't started yet, I'll be using Vapor IX for my pre-season. Thanks for the comparison video Josh. Gotta do some experiment with these two MV :)

too bad the vapor 10 didn't fit me because the tongue is one piece and i have such a skinny foot that when i tried to tighten the laces, the tongue folded inwards

Are you sure they were the right size? Its a pretty tight fit despite it being one-piece, and if they're the proper size, meaning little to no space at the toe, that shouldn't happen. I've actually had several people try on my pair just to see if this would be an issue, and it hasn't been.

Well i ordered them 10.5 although i usually order 10, so maybe you're right but i just don't know if half a size will make the difference because it folded to the point where i couldn't even see the acc decal on it, and i just don't know if i should risk possibly having to send it back again

Michael Villarreal If they're half a size bigger than you would normally wear, and by the sounds of it, the size 10 that your normally wear might not fit you particularly snug either, that explains why you're having these issues. Keep in mind that as you go up in size, the shoes not only get longer, they also get wider. I've never seen anybody with feet too narrow for a pair of Vapors, unless the Vapors they're wearing are too big. I would definitely send them back and get a smaller size.

i did send them back and size 10 vapor 9's fit me a bit tight at first but they stretched over time to fit me perfectly so size 10 in vapor 10's should be perfect in length but like i said i don't think half a size will make such a big difference

Not wider in particular, but somehow the upper feels alot more natural on your foot, and over time it'll shape nicely, NOT PERFECTLY, but to the point that it works. What I tend to do on my team sock is to cut the upper and place a favourable sock under; for me, a slightly thinner one. And if you're curious, I bought the shoes around seven to eight months ago and they're still fine, surprising considering I have very wide feet! If you're still not sure, you could try to go to your local shop and try them on in your current size or half a size up (although this'll make your in place tongue on the shoe overlap a little. Or not if you have wide feet like me.) Hope this helps!
