@JoJ0estar It's just a cool thing to do some Nike hate on social media. The hoka skyward x for eg is taller, heavier, more expensive. Yet in his review it was praised simply because it's the "cool" hoka. It is quite clear there is double standard when it comes to Nike.

So here is where I have to call you out @carr16k The HOKA you speak of are actually lighter - 378g so you are WRONG as the Nike’s here are 389g. Why pretend the HOKA were heavier? Why? The HOKA cost £185 and are therefore cheaper than the Nikes here which are £190? Why did you say that the HOKA are more expensive? Why? I’m really confused why also you have made at least 3 different comments on this one video which basically says Ben Parkes’ review is not unbiased?Also saying it’s cool to hate Nike on social media or similar? This is going to be the new Nike Tn: absolutely will be the go to casual of any tech or finance bro with a bit of extra cash. I can't imagine anyone at Nike expected serious runners to gravitate towards this shoe. But that won't stop it from being a roaring success, especially given initial sales.

Great review 👏🏽, not a shoe for me when I have the ZF6 and the Glycerin Max, both excellent options. Surprisingly the Glycerin is far more versatile than just a recovery run option, can put in some short fast intervals 🙌🏽

Seems like they went looks first and just accepted the weight penalty. 389g in UK12.. holy heck 😂 You can get daily shoes for around £60 (VN2/3/SL2) or Evo SL or even Superblast 2 for a do-it-all for many people. Work fine as walk around shoes as well. Big old premium for the swoosh and air pocket.

I am not sure all those Air Zoom mini pods in the heal area/ backside of shoe are doing anything, besides adding weight, for mid foot/ forefoot strikers. Heal strikers will have their own set of issues like you said. So, it doesn’t look like this shoe is all that useful, 100% agree with you

Invincible run 4 were allegedly released to outlets because they were killing the line for the vomero plus. Vomero plus also looks very similar to leaks of the invincible 4. IMO invincible line was more of a halo shoe or marketing shoe for ZoomX. Back when invincible 1 released, it was hands down the most comfy shoe yet Nike weirdly did not take advantage of it. They wanted the spotlight on ZoomX, not the line.

I search a running shoe good for travel to a race. A sneaker for traveling, walking to the expo and a good for a shakeout run. This shoe looks good for this. All other shoes are tooo much running shoe. I only don’t know if i like the be breathable upper. Right now i use the Saucony Triumph 18 for this.

I’m going to run the CPH Marathon in May with a goal of finishing in 3:50. I currently run in Hoka Challenger ATR 7 and Asics Magic Speed 2, but my Hokas are nearing the end of their lifespan. I’m looking for a shoe that can handle my long runs and marathon-paced efforts while also being suitable for race day. I’m a midfoot striker and fairly lightweight. What shoe would you recommend?

It's simply a Nike hate on social media. No sponsor and "honest" opinion does not mean it's true. It's just an "opinion". The inconsistency in his opinions are quite obvious. Also, he is a professional marathon runner and is giving advice at his running level and marathon distance pov. People should take his videos with a pinch of salt but yet treat it like a bible.

Managed to get a pair of these on launch day. Put them on to walk the dog around the block before I went out for a 90 minute run and was impressed by how they felt. Got back home and snagged one of them on a stair carpet nail and punctured the Air Zoom unit - a freak accident. Managed to reseal the hole but couldn't repressurise the unit. I now use them as lifestyle shoes, which to be honest I couldn't decide on lifestyle or running when I took them out of the box, so decision made. Great looking shoe though but a tad expensive.

I have these. One treadmill run and it’s not for me. Foam is too squishy, need more stability. Debating if I want to keep it as a lifestyle shoe or return. Price is kinda too hefty to keep as a lifestyle shoe though

I bought the pegasus 41+, i used them 3 times (total 45km) and they gave me blisters the size of mentos candies (never had that problem with my pegasus 40 & 36... Bought the Asics novablast 5 and they are PERFECT !

Some marketing figured out that taking a popular name / brand shoe and sticking ranndom shit on it resulted in great sale, so we have the plus, trail, premium, fore tex, turbo, easy on etc ... Figure, people will buy it because it's pegasus whoch was not wrong, they get crazy media attention and visibility. And it's cheap, not much R&D to do

This does look like a complete misstep from Nike. Their finger seems to be miles off the pulse these days. It’s expensive but everything is obscenely expensive now. Similarly stacked Glycerin Max and MagMax are even more expensive. I’m sure the Nimbus is similar price too now.

I really like the look of these.. BUT 1) they’re at a high price point because of how they look 2) people will buy them for casual wear (because they look nice) which is also why they also sold out first 3) they’re so narrow! I’ve always found that Nike footwear is narrow, even when I used to buy football boots. Not so great for us wide foot runners! Definitely better shoes out there on the market for this price point. I think neither of those shoes really strikes the balance. The evo Sl is definitely a running shoe that kinda can be worn casually where this shoe is a life style shoe that could kinda be run in. The weight of the Pegasus and being kinda tanky makes it decent for lifestyle where the evo SL is great for running but I’d worry about durability wearing it long term for lifestyle.

Nike have lost their way with daily trainers and this is another nail in the coffin. The React foam needs to be consigned to history as it does not scale up well in bigger size shoes… it’s way too heavy and slappy for me in Size 13 and I’ll never buy a Nike shoe that has any React foam in it.

Wider nike? A Pegasus but the Trail version fit well on my feet. With the Trail outsole it is perfect for winter trainings. Another good surprise - new Zoomfly is also made with a wider toebox. 👍

Read an article about Nike losing market share among serious runners. If this is the direction they’re taking, it seems kind of backwards. Like you said, they still have excellent daily trainer options and their race day shoes need no introduction. However, brands like Saucony, Brooks, HOKA, New Balance, Adidas, Puma, and ASICS are knocking out of the park. They have lineups that targets most types of runners, with the boring, but reliable, and the exciting fast and fun, without much waste, like these a Pegasus premium model that you just scratch your head not knowing if it’s a casual or performance shoe. Even Adidas’s ultra boost that used to be favored by sneaker collectors and casual wearers, now feels more a lot more like a serious performance shoe.

Heavy, unstable and at £190 makes it almost impossible to justify compared to other shoes at a similar price point. It's not about the price, it's about the price against what's offered.
