Fritz, Rune, Carlitos and Korda are the big Nike guys of the future and they are all preferring the previous NikeCourt Air Zoom Vapor Pro. They all tried the VP2 but have given up using it in competition... IS THERE ANY HIDDEN ISSUE? MAYBE THE SHANK??

How were you able to get the locked down feel? Without the extra lace hole I wasn't able to feel fully locked down and it affected my confidence moving in the shoe a lot.

I bought the Vapor Pro 2s all court and I could barely stand up during the game: the sole of the all court shoes is very slippery on clay. Have you tried the all court on clay too? Too bad there wasn't a clay version yet when I bought them.

Gel Res 9 has stupid plastic dynawall that bites the arch of your feet unless your feet fit in the plastic frame.

Hi Zach ! Been playing all your nike Videos back & forth. I've got big toe/ Metatarsalgia pains ( consequence of multiple bone fractures of the little bones under the big toe , which happened probably because of untreated chronic metatarsalgia ) and I'm hesitating between the Vapor pro 2 clay, GP challenge pro and GP Challenge 1. The Challenge 1 seem to be the more cushioned but I'm a bit concerned with the toe drag that they seem to favor. I really need something that avoids big toe shocks , around it and around the joints. Which one of those would your recommend for big toe cushioning, protection and comfort ? Thanks a lot for your help ! Best regards

Great review! You actually answered my question. I bought a pair of these on sale to use as my clay shoes. However, I was wondering if I can use them occasionally on hard courts as well. As much as I love comfort in my Gel Resolution 9, sometimes they feel sluggish, so I'm looking for faster and lighter alternatives.

You preferred Vapor 11 over 11 pro, but now you liked the 11 pro clay. What would you think about 11 clay version? Is it the same as for all court, 11 would be better than 11 pro? I am also surprised you liked the lock down, as it wasn’t that good during 11 pro AC review, if I remember it right.

I think an 11 clay would be nice with the more stout upper/midsole but i dont see them right now as available. Yep has no issues with the lockdown of these

You can but you cant try and slide on them or you'll hyperextend a knee

Unfortunately no - those were a very " of their era" shoe- most molds have gone away from that design

Unfortunately to optimally test it on a true clay court in the united states , you can not have a hartrue gravel court , which gives you more traction and less maintenance . This is because of liability concerns and laziness , were everywhere else it is play at your own risk .

@@FootDoctorZach A manicured clay court will normally be wetted down , to cut down on the system but also creates a slipping or sliding condition . Gravel as an aggragate creating resistance vs a flat surface . Sand being put in the mixture slows down the gard court at Indian wells , why would not gravel ? Look at the almost bad accident recently by another reviewer , on a damp spot on a pure clay court from Tennis Guy .

I am tremendously disappointed with these shoes. I had huge expectations for this tennis shoe as the reviews rated it as one of the best tennis shoes of 2023 for playing on clay. Its silhouette is too fragile, it has no support in the back that can protect the achilles heel or ankle. I definitely do not recommend this shoe.
