Would you say the outsole durability is 4/5 in regards to wear but not as durable as the vapor cage 4 and vapor react nxt's? How does it compare to nikes old XDR rubber outsoles? Also do these run long? You mentioned a 2E go true to size but for me the 9.5US vapor pro's were still too long even though i tried a vapor pro wide. Are these same length as the vapor pro's?

Zach have you done the dremmel test on the old XDR nike outsole tennis shoes to compare? On these vapor pro 2's is the outsole durability better than the Extra Durable Rubber (XDR)? Obviously from your previous vids I've concluded the vapor cage 4 or vapor react nxt have the most durable outsoles

I totally agree with Zach here on the bad for "heel pain". I tested this in my living room and immediately felt pain in my Achilles Heel. If you have some problem or weak Achilles Tendon, do not get this shoes. I don't know if the shoes will soften up but I already packed and returned it after feeling that Achilles pain!!

I'm more interested in the Vapor 11's. I didn't get the predecessor Vapor Pros as way too narrow in the forefoot for me & just not comfortable otherwise (when trying on). My oldest son (former D1 player) recently purchased a pair (of the predecessor Vapor Pro's) on clearance & has been playing in them a couple weeks now & has some serious reservations about stability so hopefully this latest version fixed that along with more roominess in the forefoot area. The style/looks are definitely more appealing imo. The predecessor Vapor Pro's were a definite regression by Nike in the Vapor Pro line as the 9.5's (latest version I played) were a really great shoe imo .Thanks for the detail review as always interesting.

Not surprised by this review really. Maybe that is why the shoe costs only $120. compared to the Vapor 11 at $160. Compared to the Vapor Pro 2, reports are the Vapor 11 feels a bit more stable due to the molded sidewall, allowing for more aggressive cuts and push-offs. Like most comments here, I will be very interested in Zach's review of that shoe.

Yeah I’m curious too! Just off looks, the vapor pro looks more cushioned or comfortable while 11s look more for performance

@@jonathanchen1026 nope it’s the opposite. I’ve got both. 11s are way better. Pros are just covered in protection for sliding. Plus the sock on Vapor pro 2 makes it feel tight. Vapor 11s so much better

I have a feeling these would actually be really good outdoor basketball shoes, thought they are for tennis these specs are great for guards who toe drag and are always on the balls of their feet!

Have you noticed that a lot of the Nike sponsored pros who were seen wearing the Vapor Pro 2 shoes early in the year have now reverted back to wearing the Vapor Pros? I personally love the Vapor Pro and hope that Nike takes note even their own athletes don’t seem to be fond of the Vapor 2 and continue to sell the original Vapor Pro. Any thoughts Zach?

the 20s are an amazing looking shoe but that double swoosh is atrocious but an easy fix to remove. these just look like department store shoes though.

I have very picky feet. These and the head revolt 4.0 are the few shoes my feet like which don’t rate well in your system. I have tried most of the top shoes on your list and my feet did not enjoy any of them. Always good to do your our foot research.

Is this good for wide feet? I am currently wearing NB FuelCell 996 v4 8.5, 2E. I feel this is tad bit large, my exact foot length is 10 inch and width is 4 inch. I would like to try comfortable light weight tennis shoes at size 8 and 4E. I feel super comfortable with my NB 996 V4, but I don't get that glove like feeling. I keep adjusting and tightening the lace now and then.

Any suggestions for a player prone to heal bone pain. Wide foot. Working on ankle mobility and soleus, gastroc flexibility. Ascis gel 8 feels very stiff and my feet ache. Dealing with fat pad problems and calcaneus bursitis. Tried so many shoes, but hard to find a tennis shoe that does not hurt my feet

@footdoctorzach so I am pretty big on Nike tennis shoes in terms of fit for my foot constructions, but have had issues with both the original vapor pro, pro 2, and even cage 4 in terms of wear predominantly underneath by big toe. They just never seem to last. So I am constantly running through shoes. Any thoughts or recommendations ?
