its not a suprise consider that A Marvels downfall aka Disney is the lack of interest to create anything that the consumer wants, especially forcing the consumer to like something they dont. makes it easier for someone else to actually rise in the market if they have the capital for it. Reynolds success is based around timing and do what the studios used to do. create what the consumer wants and care less about pandering for a broader audience. you try to please everyone you'll please no one. its is a well known fact within buisness which is pretty much a fundemental within marketing.

Ryan could have afforded to buy half of Jack Daniels, or an NFL team, but no, he instead bought a small time gin company and made it his own, truly putting a part of himself into it and bringing it mainstream. And he bought a struggling UK football club and revived the community! Too many get such labels by just slapping their names on stuff as pointed out, but i think the word this video is looking for is "philanthropist," and a real one at that 💯

I grew up in Richmond. A suburb of Vancouver. Our next door neighbor was this guy who was an actor. Same age as me. He ended up working with Ryan in Vancouver back in the 80s and 90s. When they moved down to LA there was a small group of them. Ryan, Chris (my neighbor) and 2 other guys. The 2 other guys didn't make it. Chris became a "working" actor in LA. He was a busy actor, but not famous. And then there was Ryan. Another funny fact. My best buddy was in Kits back in the 90s and saw a guy get hit by a car walking across the street. Turns out it was Ryan again. He was hurt. I guess someone went to a phone booth, called 911 and this parents. he gave my buddy his parents number to let them know he was messed up. Living in Vancouver is funny. I have met a bunch of famous actors and business people. I think its more casual up here. No one makes a big deal if you are a big deal. At least in my experience. Corky told me a lot of juicy details about his ex wives when I saw him years back. That was Chris's real name, Corky. Not exactly a Hollywood name. He told me some pretty funny things. But I wont repeat them. But they're definitely juicy.
