In this video we go over the Nike Zoom Freak 5:
Although the underfoot cushion is a little bit of a downgrade from the Zoom Freak 4, the softness and responsiveness from the midsole are still sufficient. Traction works very well and dust pick up is not an issue. Nike maintained the low top, big swoosh and lightweight characteristics of the Zoom Freak line on this model, and lockdown from the lace closure is very good. Despite the lack of technology and premium materials, it’s also hard to hate on this shoe since there is no significant downside. The Zoom Freak 5 fits snug going true to size, so you can either go TTS or half size up, not recommended if you have really wide feet.

My son was invited by Nike to have training camp here in Manila with Giannis. He got free pair of Nike Zoom Freak 5 with that colorway. Tomorrow he may have a a verdict how it perform in both outdoor and indoor.

The Zoom Freak line has been to me quite polarizing. They've done some awesome and innovative things as far as with some of their shoes, but even if so, they've just each lacked for their own reason, with one not really seeming to be a consistent shoe, nor signature line. (Maybe the Freak 4 is the closest thing as far as overall consistency.) But the fact that they've never used a shank plate, or something carbon fiber for a Giannis shoe is beyond me. And the fact that they don't incorporate a better cushioning setup for a shoe that's trying to have more court feel surprises me (and in general as a whole, see the whole CP3 line when they used to have Cushlon as a predominant cushioning setup and was successful.)

You seen the colorway that’s all black with a fully white swoosh? Or the EVa ones for giannis PE for his daughter? All hot pink even the soles except an all white swoosh. I find those to be ironically some of the dopest looking shoes around! A colorway sometimes makes all the difference!

@@bleeblaabloo they are hell if you’re planning to use them right away from bnew. Use them first and walk with them maybe a total of 7-8 hours. They will be the best outdoor shoes in terms of durability and playability after breaking in, IMO.

@@tatalunin6614 Yes sorry some clips can be a little misleading, during those hard movements to test forefoot traction my feet get pushed to the very tip at the front. Heel slippage is about mild/average for the Freak 5s.

I got the.colorway you had on sale. They seem very narrow to me, almost to narrow and I have regular women's feet. I got flourescent green shoelaces and they look a lot better than tne black. I thought the black laces looked sloppy over the white tongue.
