I am too late to watch the movie, but when I finished watching, boy I had goosebumps! Two of my fav parts : 1) Someone telling Ranbeer "you need to go thru real pain to make music" and in the climax Ranbir saying " I dont wanna b famous I want an unbroken heart" 2) Ranbir saying" Sean Morrison showed his finger and the crowd screamed " and as the story unfolds Ranbir himself shows it and the crowd cheers for him. On top of it Rahman music. Sheer brillliant movie

As an old fan of indian movies which decided long time to only watch aamir khan movies only ..i have to announce that Ranbir kapoor movies will join my quality list. What brought me here is after watching Ranbir’s kapoor performance in “Sanju” , i realized that how i did not watch any of Ranbir’s movies?! ...and yes i watched “Rockstar”... i must say that no one can act like Ranbir . He is the next Aamir khan. I wish he could learn from aamir how to choose movies.

Half of the movie is shot in Hindu College, almost every part of college can be seen in the movie. Virgini tree, pam, college canteen, hostel, audi. Also Imtiaz Ali sir is an alumni of our college. Great writer and director. He started a Dramatic Society of Hindu College called Ibtida, famous in whole north campus. He has special love for his alma matter. #Hinduite

I saw it once in 2013 or so, i was 15 and very naive at that stage, i just saw it for the sake of watching and did not understand anything. On its re-release i decided to go for it, remembering nothing but the fact it is a story of a musician. I have to say the this is something beyond words, Ranbir’s acting, Rahman’s music, Mohit Chauhan’s voice and Imtiaz with the story. All of them like pieces of work complementing each other and wanting to make something special

You missed Nargis bro, i felt no other actress would have done that role better than her. Her role wasn't that big, but there is something special about her in this movie. when the movie released in 2011 one of my friends told me that the movie wasn't good and i believed him and didn't watch it. listen to some of its songs and liked it but never thought of watching it coz a friend had told me not to. come to 2015 and another fren of mine forced me to watch it with her and wow I was just amazed and fell in love with the movie. One of the best movies I have watched. and the best movie I have watched with my this fren.. how could I didn't watch it for 4 years. if not for her I wouldn't have watched it till now. everything about the movie reminds me of her.

I feel like there are many who would do a much better job than Nargis. But people also forget the looks of an actor and how it shapes the story. Her face was perfect for this I feel like, a pretty and popular Kashmiri girl, never explored the general scene of Delhi, and wanting to do so.

No point of a sequel, the story was wrapped up. The descent of his doom was all because of love, the love was Heer, who died. There's no purpose of the character anymore, he either died, or his mental state got worse, unless he seeked help, which would make for a completely different plot so it wouldn't really make sense.

I just watched Rockstar again and came here for Imtiaz Ali to tell him what a masterpiece he made. I still haven't been able to move on from Jordan. I feel like I am Heer and someone else has written my story. I am dying every moment like Heer, but Jordan will never come back. The life I am living right now feels like a real coma where I am suffering.. I will never be able to move on from Laila Majnu or Rockstar, but I want to watch a peaceful movie like these in today's terrible movies.😭🥀❤🦋
