I am so glad that we have these videos of Niki Lauda to enjoy. Niki is an inspiration. He is one of the reasons that I follow Formula One...there are SO many interesting and fascinating characters. Bernie is another one...Toto Wolf...Christian Horner...Frank Williams...Ron Dennis...Enzo Ferrari...Ken Tyrrell...etc. If you can be a success in Formula One (driver, owner, crew, support staff, etc.) you can make it anywhere. I was involved in the 1980s and 1990s...you deal with so much, it is like drinking from a fire hose.

Any good partnership or team needs a healthy amount of arguing. Otherwise it'll be harder to predict and address any issues. It's a good approach in my opinion, as long as it's similar to what Toto said, that you never leave without coming to a consensus and agreement.

Man, I love this interview. My own life experiences reflect the differences in men and women that Niki and Toto spoke of. I LOVE their differences, the ability to get stuff done, and move on with the objective front of mind. I wish I knew a woman whose mind worked that way too. More importantly, it would be fantastic to find an equal minded man to partner with on key projects. Awesome interview.

I'd be willing to bet it's quite the opposite. I work for a pair of guys with a very similar dynamic... the owner of the company is extremely laid back, but has a very large "big picture" he has to contend with, and his VP is scarily like Niki. His motto is "If you're not 10 minutes early, you're late." As long as you do what is expected, there is a great mutual respect that makes for an excellent working environment.
