Andreas Nikolaus Lauda, known to the world as Niki Lauda was an exceptional racing driver, he remains the only driver in Formula One history to have won a championship for both Ferrari and McLaren. Moreover, he was also a brilliant aviation entrepreneur who founded and ran three airlines: Lauda Air, Niki, and Lauda. In a tragic nearly fatal accident, Lauda not only went into a coma but also had to undergo multiple surgeries.
Niki Lauda was born on 22nd February 1949 in Vienna, Austria, to a wealthy paper manufacturing family. His paternal grandfather was the famous Viennese-born industrialist Hans Lauda. Lauda became a racing driver despite his family's disapproval. After starting out with a Mini, Lauda moved on to Formula Vee, and then moved up, to drive in private Porsche and Chevron sports cars.

this man is adored by f1 fans to this day his star will forever be on the mercs f1 cars he went through incredible hardship from his injuries to come back to race and later win the f1 championship then went on to found a fecking airline.....You wish you lived a tenth of the "sad" life he did
