Robin Strasser is a phenomenal actress. The way she plays Dorian in these scenes is perfect. You can tell what she's trying to do, but Nicki can't. And it's believable that Nicki can't.

Dorian was right about Viki...we never saw Viki joke around and have much of a sense of humor. Viki saw life as this grim drama to simply be endured.

I had always liked Viki. But Dorian was a big trouble-maker! She may have had more personality than Viki in some ways, but caused a lot of trouble in others.

@@brynne77: Viki was far from innocent, *Lynn.* Viki was a troublemaker also, but unlike Dorian, she was sneakier and subtle. I agree that Dorian often made trouble also, but unlike Viki, Dorian was straightforward. Viki was the two-faced sort who would smile to your face pretending everything was "fine" while secretly undermining you behind your back. With Dorian, on the other hand, you knew where you stood. There were no false smiles with Dorian. If Dorian was pissed at you, she let you know immediately.

@@brynne77: Also...re-watching this, I now realize that Dorian was an introvert living in a mostly extroverted small town, which is a large part of why she struggled socially, was so brash and often came across as unfriendly or aloof.

Slezak and Strasser in extended scenes like this in the 80s and 90s was the peak of soap operas. Compare to the soaps now and it's just sad. The quality of writing and acting has been lost.

Wow, I had forgotten all about Dorian... and I was a huge OLTL fan back in the day... I always thought she was so attractive, and I was very jealous of her hair... LOL!

I always thought Dorian was lovely also. Dorian had her faults, but never denied them. OLTL was hilarious...I loved how Dorian often called the Buchanons out on their _hyp-ocracy._ 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

That was definitely her intent. As much as Viki and Dorian were always on opposite sides of right and wrong, they shared an admiration, respect, and love for each other that came out at times like this.

I liked the reddish perm, but I love Dorian's naturally dark, straight hair. I don't know if Robin the actress wore a red wig over her dark hair or just dyed and permed it, but I know Dorian the character never wore a wig since her hair was naturally thick to begin with. I especially love Dorian's huge dark brown eyes.

how did storyline in first is worth me Erika slezak a daytime household name but after a while it got old Renata's intended and it passed on to Jessica it's again. Hold for I'm a monotonous another words to the point where I didn't want to hear it anymore I was bored with it Melissa Archer thought she had the ideas even more bored with it fall asleep hundred years
