Marcus Compton I am so so sorry to hear that your marriage is over, brother. I have been seeing/praying for your reconciliation to your wife & family. I believe our Lord can still reconcile your marriage. You never know what God has in store. Make our Lord the center of your life. You need Him more than you need a wife right now. Take care.

Your testimony blessed me today. I started out watchng your husband's message today, Private Prisons. I found my flesh being upset at all the ground I lost by being in ungodly relationships. I was a member at Living Word faithfully attending from 1999-2008. I've been a backslider since and am pressing to get back planted at my church home. Anyway, although I've never believed God for a spouse, because I struggle with Lesbianism, for the first time in this season, God has been opening me ears up to testimonies of women who have believed God for a husband.Wiers huh lol. I get angry sometimes, because it seems like I will never even get to a point of. Christian Godly marriage. I just want to live Holy and have my peace. But I'm in my early 40s now and until I allow God to restore me I can only focus on being in my singleness with Christ. I have watched David grow up to be a great man of God over the years. You are blessed Niki and forget the comments about race or age. God has given you your Boaz. For now I pray for purpose in my life. Thank you for sharing. I guess today was the day I needed this message to smile. God bless you and your family.

Great testimony Niki! Though I’ve never been married, I almost was and was left alone to raise my one year old son, who is AMAZING! I know God’s promise for me is great! I’ve seen glimpses and he has told me in many different ways. I loved that you mentioned the wait builds character, I know this is true! It can be EXTREMELY hard to wait on the Lord, but for the sake of my little one and my future generation, I know that it’s all worth it. Thank you for this encouraging video! Blessings!

Hi Niki, I relate toyour story, I also had a rough childhood and had no confidence or self worth as a young woman. I started to go to church and that changed. I could boldly talk to anyone after that. I think men notice when you are healed and that is why they approach you. Until you are sad or look like you have unresolved issues, they won't approach. The peace from inside you radiates and is inviting. God Bless you for your testimony and for doing the work of God.

I was so totally blessed by your testimony, and identify with your testimony, 23 years ago God sent me to my Boaz, very handsome and also love God, but he was broken like I was, but we grew over the years together and our relationship together was not easy, Just like your testimony of "humility' between you and your husband that how it was for me and my husband, it taught us to humble to God and before God and each other and right today twenty three blessed and humble years later we still love one another. God Bless you Niki and your family, for sharing such a beautiful and humble testimony that shine light on what God can do and What God Joins together no enemy can put asunder. God Bless to all

I have been remarried for 7 years. We are now parting ways. I was married for 20 years and had 3 children. He left me for his mistress. That was 23 years ago. My soon to be former husband was also married for 23 years. They had no grounds for divorce. We have never been married in God's eyes. My first husband is still my husband. This hurts my heart to leave but I will. Remarriage is wrong. It's adultery. I'm not judging you I'm just telling you.

This is so sad! Before you divorce your second husband, I’d like to send you a free copy of a book about this doctrine. Unfortunately you’ve been misinformed about Jesus’ intent about that portion of scripture. The original language He spoke in and the original context and culture was not referring to actual divorce as we know it. They were referring to a practice that left women still married, but without a husband, called “putting away.” There are actually at least 18 translations that do translate it properly. The book has more information. I would just hate for you to have to go through more pain, unnecessarily. If you want, go to my website at nikiwinston.org and send me an email on the contact page. I will check that and I’ll send you the book.

BEFORE YOU POST NEGATIVELY, PLEASE READ : For Bible lovers like Niki: See below a list of translations that clearly translate “divorce” in its original meaning [the words Jesus ACTUALLY used]. It is basically translated “putting away” OR "sending away" which was a different thing than what we know as divorce. It was when the spouse would literally just walk away from the marriage, or send the wife out of the house with no "certificate of divorcement." This still left the abandoned partner married. This ‘still being married' caused them to be committing adultery if they married another, which was common practice back then - and actually still happens today. In Israel there are still women locked in husbandless marriages where they can’t legally remarry because the husband didn’t/wouldn’t give them an official divorce (called a “get” according to Jewish law). There are examples throughout the Bible, and this translation is consistent throughout the Old and New Testament (in Hebrew & Greek) EVERY time you see the word "divorce" without the inclusion of "certificate of." One great example is Samson. He did this to his first wife and her father gave her to another man in marriage, then was terrified, because Samson came back for her and her father had essentially pushed her into adultery because there was no "certificate of divorce," only the "putting away" which was Samson simply walking away from her with no official action. A wife is bound to her husband. This is correct, but a woman who is divorced (with a certificate of divorce), according to the Jewish law to which Paul was referring in scripture does not have a husband (therefore not bound to anyone). It’s also very important to read the Scriptures in the context of that culture. The reason Paul was addressing wives and not husbands is because at that time (and in that culture), husbands were allowed to divorce their wives, but women were not allowed to divorce their husbands. Therefore, according to the Jewish law to which he was referring, women had to stay with a husband unless the husband wanted to divorce their wife and give them a certificate of divorce, as referred to in Deuteronomy, Matthew, & Mark. If the husband did this, then the woman was free to marry, per the Scriptures. This gender inequality is evidenced in the fact that although Marks gospel turns the conversation around from women to men, Matthews gospel doesn’t. This is because (Matthew who was Jewish and) Matthew’s gospel was directed toward a traditionally Jewish audience. Mark’s was more broad, notably to Romans and beyond. And in Rome, women could legally divorce their husbands. But when I tell you that the entire Bible lines up with this interpretation, I mean everywhere you can find in Scripture, including Malachi, Hosea, Jeremiah, Isaiah… Hopefully this gives more insight about many of our English Bibles that have been mistranslated this way - only in SOME versions (granted, the more modern/popular ones - but even some of these popular translations even have some shady/interesting history). We tend to look at our Bible and assume everything in there is exactly correct, but we must realize that some versions were literally translated by one person (or at least led by one person). That’s a lot of influence they can have a culture and history if their version becomes popular. What you were reading here reflects with the original language said - before it was ever in English. And it’s backed by culture, history, and multiple others scriptures throughout the Bible. The whole Bible has only been available in English for about 500 years (which seems long, until you compare it with the writings of the New Testament in many languages before it ever came to English for almost 2,000 years), so if we can’t wrap our heads around accepting the original translation we should ask ourselves: Am I more concerned with how SOME English versions translate this portion of scripture, or in the Hebrew words Jesus ACTUALLY spoke (and in what context, within the culture surrounding the conversation, and to whom He was speaking)? This information is after extensive research on this topic. If you don't agree, before posting, consider how much research you've done, besides skimming the scripture and coming to immediate conclusions. I invite you to look for yourself at the original Greek & Hebrew, then scour the scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, and make sure that ALL of what you are reading (translation, interpretation, context and considering their culture) lines up with ALL of scripture, and with what you propose. Then, please... by all means, teach us. Here are 18 BIBLE TRANSLATIONS THAT LINE UP WITH WHAT IS BEING DISCUSSED IN THIS POST: DRA, DRC, DLNT, Bible in Basic English, ASV, Confraternity Version, Darby, Disciple Literal New Testament, KJ3 Literal Translation Bible, LITV, Living Oracles New Testament, MKJV, The New Testament by John Wesley, Revised Version, Worldwide English, Wuest, WYC, Young’s Literal Translation. If you want more info, I wrote a book concerning this, entitled Biblical Truths Concerning Divorce & Remarriage. If money is an issue, email us at contact@nikiwinston.org and we will get you the pdf for free!

Niki Winston Hey so I recently found out from the mother of this woman im person that she has been married for awhile but the past 3 years they haven't seen or talked to one another. I then talked to her and she said he cheated on her with multiple women and just left her and he now lives in another state. And so before all this I asked God if I could message her to meet up with her but only if he approves of me pursuing her as a possible wife. In that prayer he gave me a vision of her sitting in front of me on a couch then a few people sitting along side her and I heard the word "family" and it ended. Ive also recieved a dream of both our families meeting and at a celebration together. So I messaged her we met up and everything I've been with her these past 2 months i feel pure peace and we always evangelize everything and we do bible studies on the phone here n there. Her brother has had a vision of me and him. But now understanding her being legally married by paper i made boundaries to not hangout alone no more until she signs those papers to protect her heart/soul. Few questions. Is she allowed to remarry if she divorces from what I studied and researched i find the answer to be yes. What you typed are the answers I have found as well. Buf also is it wrong for me to hangout with her in public while she is still technically married. I know God has led this no matter what some people have said to me i know what God has showed/revealed to me. But you have actual experience in this as she does but I haven't been married but would like to be to her someday lord willing. Thanks and God bless
@nikiwinston

Liz Cutajar Thank you for your question! Actually, in that verse that is the perfect example of what I’m talking about both of those words “divorce” are referring to the “putting away” where the man would send her away or leave his wife with no official certificate of divorce. This means that (according to Jewish law) she was not actually divorced, but instead she had just been left and she was still married to the original man. Therefore if she does remarry he makes her the victim of adultery. If that same husband did give her a certificate of divorce, it would make the divorce official, thus she would be unmarried, and able to remarry without committing adultery. If this doesn’t make sense, just let me know and I can send you a free PDF of my book.

Hi Niki, I am confused. Please hear my heart before judging me. Why would God tell anyone that someone is to be your husband when you have a husband who is still alive? Please kindly point me to God's Word that confirms remarriage. Trust me when I say I have read many books and articles on marriage and divorce. There are many viewpoints that contradict each other and even more importantly, the writers' viewpoints contradict God's Word. I am divorced myself and do not date because there is no point. I cannot "remarry" my ex (husband) because he is married to someone else already. Additionally, if he were not married I could not consider being with him because he bears no fruit of the Holy Spirit. I am just fine with raising my children and seeking God for His Will for my life. Please kindly direct me to scripture so that I can understand what you are saying in your video. Again, please do not judge me for asking the question. I am not a "religious" person, legalist, or the like. I am someone who is striving to be like Christ and obey God's Word. Thank you.

Wendy Hello! The Bible actually does not say in the original Greek & Hebrew what it says in most English translations. Consequently, it doesn’t say we cannot remarry if officially divorced. I actually wrote a book on it explaining the proper translation. The good news is that, according to what Jesus actually said in His original language, if you want to remarry, you can! The proper translation is in my book and you can find it at nikiwinston.org/Remarriage . It’s called Biblical Truths Concerning Divorce & Remarriage. Also, if you want to reach out personally, I answer all of my own messages from the contact page on my website. Thank you for your loving approach in how you left your comment!

Wendy the husband who is still alive is no longer her husband- they divorced as unbelievers!!! God does not go to our past when we become believers. We are washed and new and we go from there sweetie. The word is for believers who know the word and still divorce.

jillbert40 Here are some other translations that clearly translate “divorce” in its original meaning (basically “putting away” which was a different thing than divorce which still left the abandoned partner married. This still being married caused them to be committing adultery if they married another, which was common practice back then - and actually still happens today. In Israel there are women locked in husbandless marriages where they can’t legally remarry because the husband didn’t/wouldn’t give them an official divorce (called a “get” according to Jewish law)): DRA, DLNT, Bible in Basic English, ASV, Confraternity Version, Darby, Disciple Literal New Testament, KJ3 Literal Translation Bible, LITV, Living Oracles New Testament, MKJV, The New Testament by John Wesley, WEB, Worldwide English, World English Bible, Wuest, WYC, Young’s Literal Translation. If you want more info, feel free to get the book! If money is an issue I’d be glad to email you the pdf for free!

Mrs. Perez Hello! I’ve been meaning to make a video, but I did publish a book entitled, “Biblical Truths Concerning Divorce & Remarriage.” I think it has what everyone, divorces or not, Minister or lay person, needs to know. You can get it at www.nikiwinston.org/remarriage

What's so beautiful is that you were his best match from God, even though you were broken once. It makes you feel special. For me though, I didn't get the instant healing. God is making me work through it. I try my hardest but years of waste have gone by. I need Gods help

First marriage then divorce then remarriage is adultery God does not like divorce, now if there is separation and both parties come back together without divorce that’s feasible in Gods eyes!! What God has joined together let no man separate for God has made as one flesh!!

Please read Matthew 19:1-9 KJV and listen to Joseph Webb of CPR ministries! I am divorced could have gotten remarried and the Holy Spirit had let me know not to, as to the spirit I listened and investigated! It’s real!!

almost similar story. thank you so much for your story. It has given me the strength to go forward and marry my Boaz. I had a bad divorce years ago and to trust a man is hard for me. but when you said you struggled and God helped you with your hubby , now I know what God meant when he said don't be afraid I will help you,. He is the one for you, he will really love you. is not easy when you have had a bad divorce. I Praise God for your story. I believe this was Gods way of letting me know its gonna be alright. God bless you.

@@nachis3 No problem. I will say I get some pretty mean comments sometimes, and it can be hard to tell when someone is genuinely asking or they are sort of bullying. @@nikiwinston No mean comments from me but I am pretty passionate about Jesus and His Word. I was radically saved 15 years ago in my living room and also became passionate about marriage and how important it is to God. I never thought that I would be experiencing a D after 34 years of marriage. I still haven’t found any Scriptures that day that I’m free to remarry while my husband is still alive. Pretty touchy subject though.
