The question is, are young Russians courageous enough to stay their man OR will they do as they told and die in Ukraine.

Hi Niki. Military festivals in the UK are called 'tattoos'. I am not sure why. It is a strange name, and I am British!
@Cydonius12 жыл бұрын
The name “military tattoo” dates back to the 17th century. It is from the phrase “doe den tap toe”, which translates into “turn off the tap”. The phrase refers to a signal made by trumpeters and drummers to announce to in-keepers by military garrisons to stop giving soldiers beers so they can return to the barracks

In the U.K. it’s called a military tattoo. The most famous one being the Edinburgh Military Tattoo which takes place during the Edinburgh Festival. The term comes from the early 17th-century Dutch phrase doe den tap toe, a signal sounded by drummers or trumpeters to instruct innkeepers near military garrisons to stop serving beer and for soldiers to return to their barracks and is unrelated to the Tahitian origins of an ink tattoo.

Can’t swim to the bottom of the deep end anymore or deep sea dive but the experience was still incredible. How many people visited Russia during the 70’s? Not many. Went to Moscow, Kiev (yes that Kiev) and Leningrad (yes it was called Leningrad not St. Petersburg). Saw Lenin in his tomb but it was a glass room outside of the Kremlin and they hit us with batons if we put our hands in our pockets (it was cold) because it was considered disrespectful but we didn’t know what the problem was!

[Do you like poetry?] The night came quicker than usual and it caught me by surprise. Before I found some shelter, the darkness dimmed my eyes. My panicked heart was racing, my legs instinctively took flight. I aimlessly ran in circles, in the horror of blackest night. In the distance I could see it, the form of a terrible beast. I could hear its claws scratching, I could see the flash of its teeth. There was no way to outrun it, cause it traveled on all fours. So left with just one prospect, I turned and faced the noise. The blade I held, had a faint sparkle, illumined from distant stars. The beast knew I would use it, as it stalked me from afar. My wait drug on for an eternity, as I firmly stood my ground. But soon it would be over, for I heard approaching sounds. Throughout my life, I purposefully planned, to never travel by night. It was the only way to miss the beast and avoid a deadly fight. Yet, life has a sense of justice, not willing to let me cheat those plans. From facing the beast who stalks me, from facing what haunts a man. A silhouette sprang out of the blackness, striking hard the first blow. I vollied back, with the tip of my blade, causing the beast to moan. Collapsing together, mortally wounded, the dawn began to break. I saw the beast that had attacked me, it was myself, in whom, I faced. So beautiful . Be proud as no large city in USA is remotely comparable to Moscow. I have been to top 100 cities in US and 49 states. Moscow, Singapore, Shanghai, KL have large sections that are so far beyond the US it is like NYC and SF was compared to the rest of the world in the 1950’s.

It was a great video... I mean to follow you the way from the airport, the underground, the pod hotel and the cat cafe etc... And to see the prices. That was nice for you to meet up with your sister and friends. What a shame that the government does not have the same friendly attitude... the contrast between Moscow and cities ...across the border ... it's all tragic..
