So much talent can't figure out why she's not the biggest female star on the planet
@tessahallett41338 жыл бұрын
+Tyler Durden because she was released as an artist the week before 911 and so was the first Alecia Keyes song. Alecia was quieter and sang of forever love and the country could only send one into stardom during such a bad time. Alecia just fit better. Personally I think Nikka should have gotten the attention...

Nikka Costa Rocks out of this fine long version performance of Everybody Got Their Something, With funk and a little bit of church in this tune, You can't beat that! You go ahead Nikka with your fine bad self! The Roxy at it's finest!

She is my favorite live performer of all time. No one comes close to the energy and talent of Nikka Costa. The three times I’ve seen her in concert are my three favorite concerts I’ve ever been to.

Took me years to find this song. I heard it when I was very young and I loved the tune. This was over a period of 13 years. I'm so glad I found this.

One sexy, talented, underrated and has soul Loved her since she came out. She should have been huge. What they force us to listen to is mostly computerized noise and someone with her talet should have been the next big thing. Nikka ROCKS

When it comes to listening to great jazz, the notes usually are on key. Just because the notes are improvised, like in scatting for example, doesn't mean that's a good excuse not to be on point. And most likely the performer is connecting to the crowd because a bunch of them are high/huge fans who don't care about the sound quality.

I can't agree with that. Joplin had a powerful voice, but she might rival her. Aretha Franklin would not appreciate this, but she'll never read it anyway: this woman has her best qualities and improves them....She may be the next "Queen of Soul," although I've always actually thought that title belonged to Gladys Knight....

@richcapo Her voice lacks the same power she has on the album version of this song. And they are a few off-key notes spattered throughout this performance. *shrugs* Some people are more gifted singing live than others. This isn't a terrible performance, but it's nothing mind-blowing either. Mediocre.
