Deicing fluid, a mixture of a chemical called glycol and water, is generally heated and sprayed under pressure to remove ice and snow on the aircraft. While it removes ice and snow, deicing fluid has a limited ability to prevent further ice from forming. BTW nice vlog. :)

Hey Sana the vlog was great!! Just want to let you know that they weren't washing the wings. They were spraying anti- icing fluids on the wings to prevent formation of ice crystals on wings during flight. It is done on routes with very low temperature 🙂
