On the Mother Whale fight, not sure if it's been mentioned since, but Dorothy's burst skill makes the main annoying mechanic of Mother Whale much easier to deal with. A bit after the ads spawn Mother Whale roars and makes all the ads have hit counter health instead of normal damage health (making them take 1 damage from each bullet, needing iirc ~20-30 bullets to die), however Dorothy's burst skill damage bypasses the hit counter and just deals damage to them. Since their health is now super 'low' since each bullet deals 1 damage, they get completely wiped by the skill's damage. Without fully wiping the ads you have to deal with mobs that die much slower than usual dishing out constant damage while Mother Whale keeps belching out it's own attacks. Dorothy is essentially the hard counter for this fight and had a BIG hand in helping you get through it, much more than any combat power nerfs to the boss. Funnily enough if you had gotten Grandma Liter and were using her here you would've had a harder fight than with Doro.

Back in the days I stuck for 2 months for this boss. I used Modernia's burst to pass this part. I have Dorothy but not using her yet (since I still had no pilgrim support gears on her) So if I force using her, I would get swept by the power deficit much much harder I can't even sustain the team to see phase 2. A new patch saved me with the lower power required decrease along with Crown buff my team up HARD. So I pass the dps check finally. Even a mommy dragon on chap. 22 is considered a cake walk.

3:47:00 remember in the Marian Mission 0 is only Rapi, Anis and SKK? so that say Neon is the last one who join the counter team. She don't experience the saddest Rapi and Anis feeling when they witnessed SKK killed Marian. So that's why Neon feel alone even SKK Rapi and Anis treated Neon as friend Neon still missing one important puzzle to become the true counter team. Because mission 0 is the only memory that shared between Rapi, Anis and SKK and is one of the important moment of counter squard (dispect it is a tragedy) . So no matter how hard Neon try to fit in she still missing one important part of the counter squad. She need her special place in counter as well, this is the chance she can provide herself, so she created her special place in this chapter.

I got past Mother Whale through luck and a bit of planning. I didn't have a Doro, so my fight went down like this: - I made sure to meet power level required against MW - Used 2 machine gunners to take out the summoning ports. For this, I used Soda and Modernia. - Increased auto-aim settings to make sure my crosshairs were locked in on the tiny ports. My squad: - Liter (primary burst 1; shield recovery, burst cooldown reducer, team attack booster) - Soda (micro-healer, machine gunner) - Centi (burst 2; shields, burst meter builder) - Modernia and Red Hood (anti-mobs and MW port destroyers)

I remember legit getting stuck on this one for two weeks because it was the first technical rotation boss for me. I couldn’t just brute force it (at the time).

I stuck on this whale for 2 months (quit once for 160 wall and play Ragnarok Origin instead), back then I had no meta team to plow through a story mode. I'm always using Noise to taunt and I-framing the whole stages while Modenia (0 OL at the time) for dmg. Yes, the DPS check on Mother Whale got me hard. I passed because of 1.5 anniversary dropped me twin bunnies and Crown. Now I finally barely beat chapter 32 and call myself endgame player. 😂 😂

Best part is, that all the story out now is all just "prologue" for the story ShiftUp actually wants to tell. Granted i cant find the source for that but i remember one dev said something in an interview.

2:43:19 yes this is why microwaves have turntables Acutal microwaves have length peak to peak The portion of the wave form that doesnt oscillate is where the cold spots are The waves also bounce around the inside but cant cover every square inch of space Also the reason for the mesh on the glass door is to prevent the microwaves from escaping thro the opening of the mesh To give an idea of how big the waves acutally are The holes are too small for them to pass thru

Nikke did a good job making the bad character to be unfavorable, even their VA is good. This is why I like Nikke 🥳 Except for Ingrid and RH, Ingrid consists of constant yelling for no reason and RH monotone reading the scripts bugs me, they are both new VA so it's not their fault of course.

I got to mother whale earlier this year, and she was my first big wall. Auto wasn't beating her. It took me many tries, looking up guides, and trying different team comps. This was before I got Crown, and I still don't have Dorothy. I think my team was Liter, Noah, Red Hood, and the bunnies. I was having to time Noah's burst and Red Hood was doing a lot of heavy lifting.

One thing Arty is not taking into account is that since Johan was and still is a great tactician due to his accomplishments therefore was revered and he is strict for a reason. During his campaign in the surface, the know how of how equipments were back then and efficient strategies were a must have. This is the reason why Johan is so strict with you (for good reason) and it’s because you need to learn hands on, and it is as he says throughout this adventure

​@ArtemisLunaVT I'm pretty sure SKK is the abbreviation for commander. In Korean shikikan means commander, not sure if that's the exact correct spelling. So people refer to the commander as SKK.

Man, I remember Mother Whale being a complete nightmare. I was definitely underpowered (probably 10kish at this point) and i was stuck on that fight for a good few weeks or something like that. I had to try out all sorts of teams to try and work through the boss mechanics... Clearing all the first wave of mobs to stop the shield. Surviving the 2nd phase, making sure the correct character lived so i could use the burst to taunt tank the 3rd phase of strong mobs so i could hopefully push through to the round reset and just maybe snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. I really hated it at the time but it's kinda nice looking back on it. On topic of something i hate... Johan, i can't talk about this story arc without including my hate for him. (gotta keep up my spicy hot takes.) And then you get that ch22 animation. Sadly, i was slightly spoiled on it (i knew there was an animation but avoided the content/context) when i was only 1 stage away from seeing it myself.
