Not sure if you've run across this, but in case any other players are reading the comments looking for hints: pick your best five SSR nikkes to level up. You get access to something called the SynchroDevice that allows you to match your lowest level Nikkes to the lowest of your top five... until you get 5 Nikkes to level 200. Then you start levelling the SynchroDevice itself to push past that barrier. Why your SSRs only? Only SSRs can limit break past level 160 normally, and they can only do that if you limit break them at least two-three times. Your SRs get capped to 160 and your Rs are capped at 120 without the SynchroDevice's help. If you've dumped a bunch of upgrade materials into leveling a Nikke, but want the mats back, you can spend 10 gems to reset her to get those back, which can be helpful for the later pushes, but you can't reset any materials used to upgrade their skills. You can also spend 500 gems to unlock an extra slot in the SynchroDevice, but you will get a few for free if you're upgrading everything in your base. You should also only invest in the gear and skills of Nikkes that you're actually using, since that also boosts their power and overall performance. Gear doesn't really benefit much from going beyond level 4 until you get to the REALLY high end stuff, like Tier 9 or 10, which you are simply NOT going to see until you're at least at Chapter 24+.

@@jimjohn4395 playing NIKKE f2p is actually quite nice compared to other gachas, because I dont rly care about the super meta characters, I just want to collect new units, and doing that in NIKKE is quite easy, even tho sniping that rate up can be hard. I haven't had any reason to complain, because I've been getting every character I want.

If they add the minigame of Crown´s anni, and also if they revamp it like MoG 2.0, i will be so happy, i love the minigames of NIKKE, the last one with the collab with Dave the Diver it was quite amazing, but even the regular non-limited Nikkes like Bunny Soda, those minigames were so cool and short, i hope they add them in the game like the MoG 2.0 and maybe add some rewards when reaching certain milestones and revamp the games a bit maybe with the option of using other NIKKES in the mini-games.

Best thing bout this game is that its flexible. You can efficiently shift this to a 'side game' by doing dailies while building resources to upgrade and still be able to enjoy the ongoing events etc. When you have time and resources you can push through the game. Plus its really generous, mostly I just get the paid costume from mission/event pass that I really like, and get extra resources and pulls at the same time. Making the purchase worth it.

It's not really flexible... Dailies and spending resin in Genshin takes me like 15 minutes to do. Doing everything daily in Nikke takes me around 45 minutes, and that's with quick battles.

@@seija8588 I'm currently locked at 160. There's plenty of things to click on every day. I'm just gonna write them here for others: Read all new messages, buy things from shop, do things from outpost (like giving advice, the rehabilitation), do things from ark (simulation, tower, arena), do event, solo raid, team raid, if there are available, do campaign if you can still progress somewhat with the 3x lvl 200 characters, click on things like inbox, recruit, inventory etc. It takes me every day at least 40 minutes to do all of that.

Nikke's story and music are unironically the best parts of the game lol. Genshin has some high highs, but is not as consistent. It kind of slowly builds up to the big cutscenes, which are usually awesome, but compared to Nikke that also has the big moments but also make the moments in between engaging as well, it feels more lacking. I'd like to see them both get an anime some day, but it's kinda funny to think that Genshin's story would actually benefit more from an adaptation than Nikke's since a lot of the problems stems from how the story is presented to us

I am a day 1 player and I only bought 3 monthly daily logins pack and Helm's 2023 new year battlepass. Never spent anything since yet. I have all the pilgrims. The only standard character I don't have yet is just Moran. I missed out on some limited characters like W Rupee, Power, W Mica, Emilia and Rem. That speaks volume of how Nikke's gacha rates are (and also my luck). Nikke story pacing is great, sometimes very short, sometimes long but not too long, but enough to make you curious about what happened next. The daily missions respect your time, it can be abused so it can be done with less time when you're in slump (you can force retreat the daily missions that only say participate, not clear), the only real stages that you need to clear is interception and simulation room, even simulation room can be skipped until the last stage.

Nikke is the only gacha that doesnt't get me bored. I've been playing since day 1 and only spent money on a couple of skins. Still managed to finish current story on normal even though I don't nescessarily log in every single day.

That said, in terms of story, I do not think anything tops FGO. Been playing that since the global launch over 7 years ago and there has never been another game that has kept me fully invested even half as long.

i already cleared the while normal chapters up to the 32 chapter and and on hard chapter 22+, so im pushing as hard as i can. But sometimes i also get stuck in certain chapters against certains scenarios and sometimes is because i didnt notice there were Enemy Healers, or Stunners, or Kamikazes, or there is simply a BARRAGE of attacks at Randon that kill my Nikkes and a Simple well-timed Taunt of 1 of my Nikkes (like Noah, Noise, Tia, etc) can stop my team from being wipe out... and many other Raptures who can F UP my attempts to beat the scenario... My advice is to pay close attentions to whats going on, and work around that, and if u cannot see or understand whats happening u can try to find someone else who did already that same chapter/subchapter in youtube, there is always someone uploading his videos beating campaign little by little and u can see what they are doing and see what they are avoiding or what they are focusing or if they are using a taunt at a certain moment during the fight and why (NOTE: Taunters are amazing sometimes, i used to ignore them but there are scenarios or Bosses that u cannot beat without taunts). And im always below the CP requirement like 20%-30% below all the F Time, but i just focus on trying to push the best i can and focus on what i need to focus and avoid what i need to avoid, sometimes, when a new chapter arrvices, and my CP deficit is non-exixtent, i sometimes cannot beat certain stages just because i wasnt paying attentions to stuff, having Blue CP (being over the CP requirement) means nothing if they are killing u just because u are not killing those healers, kamikazes, stunners, stealth units, or those Big Raptures that like to do a Barrage of Bombardments and wipe ur entire squad. As long as ur are not hitting like a wet noodle (like 40-50% CP deficit), u can beat a stage if u know what u r doing and you bring the best NIKKES u can.

I knew that there was more to the combat than what I first though, but didn't realize it could get so much more complex, I will be paying more attention to the enemies, and trying out new team comps, ultimately I will seek out guides but I like to try and figure it out myself fist, but this comment helps a lot. 👍

new players dont know this, but the biggest spike of Combat Power Boost come at XX1 level (161-171-181-191-201-211-221-ETC) when reaching those levels XX1 u will get the biggest boost in CP and u will push content easier. And focus more on dealing tons of damage, because u can make a Tanky Team and last the entire 3min of the fight but once the 3min mark arrives u will fail the stage anyways lol.

Agreed about it having some of the best story. Why I love it so much to add on is that the story or cutscenes are always quite short yet meaningful. That’s why it’s the only game where I’m willing to read everything it has to offer: main, side, bond, event, and lost relic stories. Compared to others I always get to the point where I have to start spamming through walls of text which is why I could never get into bigger gachas like genshin and hsr

Yeah, the story that is locked behind your power is quite frustraiting at times. I remember when i got to the chapter 16 i became really invested into the story so i tried pushing it as far as i possibly could. I wanted to get to a point where i'd unlock Nihilister rehabilitation. It took me around a month to get there. Completing compaign underpowered has it is own satisfaction. I remember when i looked how others completed certain stages with the same combat power as me and there were always Scarlet which i still don't have. Instead i had Modernia and she helped me all along. Now i'm stuck at the last chapter with the new boss. My combat power is 280k while recommended is 417k.

Yes other games have great soundtracks too, and as I said in the video maybe even better than NIKKE, but I find myself listening to NIKKE soundtracks and adding them to my playlists a lot more frequently than with other games, but it boils down to preference.

Did you check out overzone too ? Like red ash overzone is an event that is tied to the main story and these 2 events are probably the most liked events stories (miracle snow migh beat one for some, just pure emotional damage)

About the progression. I think it's safe to say that it could indeed be better and i hope they will drop the CP requirements soon. Also the 160 Wall is definitley a flaw. However, i do believe it's not as bad as it seems at first. Nikke tells one of those stories where context matters and the context is everywhere. Everything is thematically or directly connected, i genuinely believe there is no filler. So all those advice sessions, bond stories, events, random encounters, e.t.c are not absolutely vital for the main story but definitley build on each other in some way or another. It's advisable to lean back and just tackle everything one thing at a time, if there is truly nothing to experience anymore, you already put in hundreds of hours into the game. But you implied that you only have limited time per day anyways. So i would say that the structure of Nikke suits you well. I hope this perspective, should you find it agreeable, helps a little with the very understandable frustration of getting stuck in Main story. I'm currently stuck in Ch.23 myself, but honestly still play ~1 hour a day, because there is always something to do/read.

The 160 wall is not that bad, mainly because of the ease of getting characters, so everyone eventually gets past that, and I do think NIKKE is probably the best game for me rn because I have so much on my plate and so little time in the day, I rly wanted to just keep pumping videos, since I love editing, and its the sole reason I started making videos, but with a full time job, a lot of different games, gym, personal life and now youtube is very hard to juggle 😭

One unfortunate thing about Nikke is that I'm more likely to watch the story than play it. I think you gotta be over 300k combat power to do the most recent story chapters and I'm still stuck at 150 k since I'm not past the 160 wall.

Don't expect anything good from the Hoyoverse fandom, they're too high off their horses. As someone who has played Hi3rd since the beginning, then HSR, and now ZZZ, the community has grown too much that it's a cesspool that I'd rather not interact with any of them. With that being said, I'm glad that you're enjoying NIkke to some extend (Yes, the battle power is the one thing that halts you from having fun XD). While it's still fairly new, with it's 2nd year just around the corner, Shift Up spends their time making their projects stand out and providing the best experience of every spectrum.

I played nikke this year February managed to get to chapter 21 without paying for anything I just focus at my 5 main nikke's the rest SSR are send to the snychro machine without a care and still I managed to do many things with it now I have 3 nikke's that are level 200 and soon a fourth one once I get more cases for Mary bay goddess. I'm still deciding on summer anis as my 5th nikke or someone else but still ain't that bad also you probably have plenty of cases by now use them.

My friend take a look at Punishing gray raven's music. The story is insanely good after the world building of stage 1-8. I like Nikke quite a bit but PGR cannot be topped for me after chapter 17 and the insanely good music.

There are like 10s of channels upload music from nikke,there are like multiple channels that react to nikke music and then there are channels that use nikke music in their video about other games. None of that got copyright striked. This is the first time I'm hearing about it. Hell even saw cosmograph comment on nikke music reaction videos and even like/heart comments about people using his music in their video

That would be weird since most games OST do not trigger the copyright system, I went and looked into it, and there was indeed a wave of copyright claims for streamers but they contacted shift up and I think it got resolved, at least there were not any more copyright claims from what I've seen. But thanks for the warning, it never crossed my mind that could even happen.
