Nikki has such a gift in cutting right to the core of things and bringing them to light.

I am blown away by Nikki’s bravery in sharing these things. This could help so many people to see they are not alone. That even super successful people go through it.

She's shaken me hard. The way she expresses it all is so honest and disarming, I am so surprised, I didn't know she was going thriugh all this. Such a sweet person.. : )

This whole conversation is so relatable to me. When I was a teen--through now in my early 30s, I always had some strong conviction that prevented me from the official suicide. Like I would tell myself when I was an atheist/agnostic teenager-23 year old, "You don't really KNOW about the afterlife, if you die and just die, that's not better, so let's keep it going for now, we'll figure it out later." Then in my late 20s I had the same thought as Nikki and said, "I can't leave my room like this, I need to clean it up first so my parents don't find it like this" and that gave me justification to both keep going, AND not clean up my space. Which worsened my depression and anxiety. But it has somehow worked, but not for a great quality of my own life emotionally. I feel like if my own life isn't the best it can be for me but I can make everyone close to me be okay, then everything is fine. It's healthy enough to survive for a little bit here.

Her summary of Allen Carr's method to stop drinking saved a lot of people. She could do the same for people experiencing suicidal ideation.

Found this video by googling how I feel, I didn't wet the bed (though I definitely have lol) just hate being alive for some reason, won't kill myself though because family etc.. The ideation is such a relief its nearly a sleeping pill. Surprised I found Nikki Glaser talking about it

Yes kids are mean. Ive always been an observer. Once in second grade I saw how the 6th graders called a peer boogerman that was his name. And a girl they called ugly, dog etc and that was her name.

Where's Nikki's therapist? Speaking of problems back to childhood, I'm surprised her parents hadn't observed this behavior. This looks like years of therapy, making choices for peace even if getting new friends, agent or whatever has her in this spiral. Luckily she has money and can walk away from stand-up and do something else or nothing at all. She's in a great position to do whatever for her cerebral fitness. Her "crew" or entourage are not always the best place for trust but should be examined. Some people's focus is purely financial and say "yes" to everything you do, good or bad as long as they get paid. Take Michael Jackson, everyone was more concerned making money off him than being concerned about his lifestyle with the most egregious behavior regarding his welfare coming from his own family. First he was seeing the wrong doctors, plastic surgeons that their medical license should be revoked for butchering him, while cashing his checks when he should have been seeing a therapist accompanied by the rest of the Jacksons. Anyway, Nikki feel better. The haters and hecklers don't put any money in your bank account. As Michael would say "Hee, Hee, Shum-on!" 😄

To me, people that are actually going to commit suicide, don't talk about it. A friend of mine from high school, who I knew for almost 40yrs, committed suicide. Nobody had a clue that it could happen. Robin Williams? Never even joked about it, for laughs. This woman is very smart, and I consider her to be very attractive, for whatever that's worth. I hope she gets her shit together.

Women are not 'goods', i.e. 'instruments of commerce' . They are whole human beings like you, with hopes, dreams, ideas, and yes, sometimes problems. Do you have zero problems? Has nothing ever bad happened in your life? I suggest you get your attitude in check, this is not the 1900's or before, and this level of sexism and misogyny is ridiculously dated! Wait, does this mean you are 'damaged goods'? Or could it be that you are a human being, like a woman, with equal worth to all human beings? Let's hope you can change this mindset, because this isn't it!!! I send you sincere blessings on your journey of growth! 🙏🏼🌹
