Interestingly fertility can be regained even after many years of anorexia nervosa/underweight if adequate weight is gained. Like Nikki I never had periods; my anorexia started at 11. I only started to recover at age 40, and unbelieveably my ovaries started to function at age 42. As for osteoporosis; weight gain can increase bone density but when anorexia starts pre-puberty and persists it's never possible to achieve a normal bone density. Take care Nikki!
