That trash problem is worldwide. I have photos of the north east UK beaches and cities, beautiful places, but ankle deep in trash. It's so incredibly sad. Don't take juice cartons, fill your water bottles with juice. Don't take prepacked food, take it all in your home food containers. Take 1 extra bag just for any trash you do generate. Everyone should be doing the same thing.

I was just at the Jerry Garcia Birthday Concert in McLaren Park, San Francisco last weekend. After the concert, not one piece of trash left on the ground, everyone picked up after themselves. Those folks who left the trash at Tahoe are the same ones who say that Hippies are dirty scum. Shame on everyone who left the trash on, in and around Lake Tahoe. On another note, I just love how Camper looks out the window from the passenger seat, he seems so fixated on the view.

That part! I've been down in Reno since 1992 and we've seen it get worse every year since Mangolini was put in office. Apparently, some right wing jerkoffs invade all points south of Sand Harbor and basically trash half of the Nevada side beaches with zero regard for others.

Living in Florida the same thing happens here, especially after busy weekends. What is even more sad is that since you are allowed to drive on the beach there are trash cans every 50 yards or so. Luckily local schools and businesses have beach clean up days to get rid of the excess trash but that shouldn't be necessary because people should be courteous enough to take care of their own trash.

Unfortunately Nikki we can’t make even a dent in the trash pickup as long as the people who constantly throw there trash out know someone who cares about their planet will always come by and pick up their mess. Public awareness and stiff fines for those pigs! I know this because I am a Trail Maintainer and avid hiker. I literally bring a large trash bag with me and almost always fill it. So beautiful! 💚 sad that people have such disrespect for such wonderful places. Thanks for doing your part to help clean up as well as inform. Leave no trace while hiking in nature should be the bare minimum for people, but sadly there's always the selfish people who don't care. Also, thank you for giving Camper the love, patience, care and attention he needed to grow into his puppy self and start to mature ❤ you the best mom he could ask for! I used to go to Tahoe a lot when I was a kid with my family. That was 40 years ago. I stopped going there because it changed from a beautiful peaceful vacation spot to a dirty grimy place with crime, drugs, and homeless panhandlers. Now they have a bear problem as well. The bears roam the streets and beaches eating from the garbage cans, beach trash, and dumpsters. I’ll take Reno over Tahoe any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Lake Tahoe is gorgeous with those beautiful boulders, turquoise-blue waters, and trees. It's really sad how people absolutely trashed it over the Fourth of July. Thank goodness there are volunteers who cleaned out the litter (thanks Nikki for doing your part). I've picked up garbage at Shi-Shi beach on the Olympic Peninsula with friends years ago, plus have periodically cleaned it at our local beaches at Discovery Park, Seattle, WA. Keep America Beautiful and leave it as you found it so others can enjoy it, plus the animals, birds, and marine life aren't hurt by it. I enjoy Camper and your many adventures. Until next time. Jenny

I had no idea how bad it was along the shores of such a beautiful place. People can be such scumbags, no wonder they’re starting to close down so many of the natural wonder places for camping. Hi Nikki. I'm so disgusted by people who can trash an area like that. C'mon people. If you had room enough to bring all that stuff with you, then you have plenty of room for a bag of the trash it created. Loved the vid as always Nikki. So good to see the campaign in Mexico doing well. Keep loving what you're doing Sweetie. Please stay safe and well. Oh, are we going to have a Sarah sighting??? With no round trip ticket I thought maybe she was joining you for a stretch.

We recently bought a Jackery and love it, and you are definitely one of the big reasons why we went with Jackery. Unfortunately, we weren’t allowed to use your code on the Canadian website though, we tried :(. Thanks for the amazing content, Nikki. Love your energy!

Everytime I wild camp in Ontario Canada I have to clean up the campsite before I can use it. It's sad because trash and unsafe fires will be what the government uses to close wild camping in Canada. I'm at a loss of words by how much worse I have noticed it in the past 3 years, it's the few that will ruin it for the many.

I spent a week in Lake Tahoe 1 year ago and was there for my birthday and went to an amazing italian restaurant called Izabella"s.

I am ASTONISHED at how the camping area in Tahoe was left after July 4th. 😢 How can people who love camping and nature do that? Why? Just pack your trash out. Not a difficult thing to do!

Unfortunately the town below it is and surrounding areas are kinda trashy, people go up there every weekend and mess stuff up.

This is the world we live in now, people are lazy and don't care about anything anymore. On a brighter note, I love your adventures.
