Welcome to the world of Home Free! They are considered the world's only COUNTRY acapella vocal band, so they tend to put a country spin on most of their songs. However, they are so versatile that it's easy to love them even if you never cared for country music before. 5 immensely talented guys with absolutely no weak links... they are amazing!

Some history on Home free. They won the fourth season of The Sing-Off on NBC in 2013 but the group was formed in 2000 by Chris (cowboy hat-baritone) & Adam Rupp(beatboxer) in Mankato, Minnesota. Rob Lundquist(tenor), another Minnesotan, joined in 2008. Texan Tim Foust( bass but he has a 5-octave range so it's hard to categorize him) joined them full time in 2012. Georgia native Austin Brown(high Tenor) joined them full time in January of 2013. One of the founder's Chris Rupp left the group to pursue a solo career and was replaced by Alabama native Adam Chance (baritone but he has a 4-octave range) formerly of Street Corner Symphony. They have such depth & are amazingly versatile. Each one has a unique and beautiful voice but together they are heavenly. The beatboxer Adam skills are just jaw-dropping. You should watch one of his live solos.

Thank you so much for checking them out! They do quite a range of music and some wonderful collabs.. "Amazing Grace" and "19+ You and Me" with Peter Hollens, "Children Go Where I Send Thee" with Kenny Rogers, "Elvira" with the Oak Ridge Boys. They go from Gospel "How Great Thou Art" to Motown with "Blue Ain't Your Color" to thought provoking "I Can't Outrun You" to fun "Summer in the Country", "Butts Remix" all the way to just goofy "All About that Bass", "Grandma Got Run over by a Reindeer". The one that started me on my love for them is "Do You Hear What I Hear". They were on Season 4 of the SingOff if you'd like to get even more background on them.. watch those (with the Judges reactions). Thanks again and I look forward to seeing what you pick next!

Home Free, in my opion is the all vocal band out there. They do lots of music types, but you can still hear that country twang in their voices. Try the "Butts Remix", I think you'll like that, also a rmake of Blake Sheltons' " Hillbilly Bone", is fun and makes you wwant to dance. IN The Blood, Mayday, How Great Thou Art and so many more. They do it all with their voices. They won the Sing Off, the year after PTX. Watch more Home Free, and you'll see just how great they are. Great reaction. Go for it.

Really liked your reaction. One of the founding members has gone off to do some solo work and work with some other groups. Left to right is Adam Rupp (original founding member and beat boxer), Austin Brown (High Tenor), Rob Lunquist (beard guy, Tenor), Tim Foust (Bass) and Chris Rupp (original founding member and Adams brother). Chris was replaced by Adam Chance, long time friend of the group who showed up in a couple videos before Chris left. They are amazing live. Ring of Fire with the bass from PTX, Butts Remix to show fun, Mayday to show range, Castle on the Hill to show talent, Amazing Grace with Peter Holens to show you how great they are individually. Please do more Home Free, you will be a Home Fry soon.

Tim Foust-Bass, Austin Brown-high tenor, Rob Lundquist-Tenor ( beard and glasses )and Adam Chance (called Chance )- Baritone/Bass ( newer videos) . Chris Rupp in the older videos (Usually in a hat ). Home Free - Ring of Fire (featuring Avi Kaplan of Pentatonix) [Johnny Cash Cover] is where a lot of people run into Home Free. This might be why the look familiar. ^_^

So glad to find you guys. I love reaction videos especially people who are seeing Home Free for the first time. I love these guys. The base singer is Tim. He has a five octave range. Chris is the guy in the cowboy hat. He and his brother Adam are the founding members. Adam is the beat boxer. Austin is the high tenor and Rob is the other tenor with the distinctive beard. Chris has left the group to do solo projects but still collaborates with the group from time to time. They have a new member now Adam Chance. Chris can never be replaced but Adam Chance is absolutely amazing and really clicks with the group. They have several covers with Adam Chance like Castle on a hill, My Church , Try everything, Mayday, and blue is not your color. This is a great group. Hope to see more reactions from you on them

Uh oh! You asked for it! They are indeed still together and adding fans everywhere they go. They release a new video about once a month, so you have a few to pick from and us “Home Fries” (Home Free fans) are always happy to give you a mighty long list 😂. Just a little FYI, they were recently invited to walk the red carpet at the CMA’s, which was a major honor of recognition by the Country Music field. If you want unbelievable harmony I would recommend “How Great Thou Art” or “In The Blood”, funny would be “Butts Remix”, “Grandma Got Ran Over By A Reindeer”, “All About That Bass”. If you are feeling groovy I like “Blue Ain’t Your Color” or “Can’t Stop The Feelin’”. If you like serious but amazing the two newest videos released score an A+ “Can’t Outrun You” and “Mayday”. Love Ed Sheeran? “Castle On A Hill” or “Thinkin Out Loud/ Lets Get It On”. Feeling patriotic? How about some “God Bless The USA” or “God Bless Texas” (this last one was make after Hurricane Harvey hit Texas and is part of their hurricane relief efforts). I think you might get the idea they do a little bit of everything and ALL of it is good. It’s ridiculous really. So unbelievably talented. Haha. And this is only a small sample of what they have. Good luck!

Well, you are so welcome!!! As you'll learn/see... you're about to have "a few many" more subs if ya stick with HF reactions. I always enjoy watching people experiencing Home Free for the first time. I hope you'll do many more. One suggestion when watching HF is to not share a pair of ear buds. Otherwise you may miss a lot of the vocal subtleties of a Capella, including the incredibly DEEP bass provided by Tim and Chance.

These guys are tops and their concerts are awesome. So much fun. Check out the video of Colder Weather funniest video, Austin forgets the words to the song and the crowd looses it.

Home Free decribes itself as a country acapella band, but they do many other things as well. You cannot pin them down to one genre. There is no lead singer. They either take different verses as they did here or pick the member whose voice best fits the song. So here are the guys and a recommendation that features each of them as the lead: From left to right: Adam Rupp - beatboxer extraordinaire - beat box solo, Listen to the Music Austin Brown = high tenor - incredibly strong and flexible voice - When a Man Loves a Woman Rob Lundquist - lead tenor - smooth voice with a lot of soul - End of the Road Tim Foust = Bass = five octave range and "plays" the bass guitar - Ring of Fire (Sing-off version) Chris Rupp was one of the founders of the group, but left in 2016 and was replaced by Adam Chance (aka Chance) - rich baritone w/ 3 octave range - Cover me Up They have a very deep collection of songs and there isn't a bad one among them. Definitely check out Man of Constant Sorry, How Great Thou Art, Unchained Melody, their collaboration with Don Mclean on American Pie and the Stargazer Trilogy.
@caerlaverockjaguar38266 жыл бұрын
Tim Faust is the Base. Rob is the one with glasses and the beard. Austen is the guy with the freaky high pitch. Adam Rupp is the beatboxer, and his brother Chris Rupp is in the hat. Chris has since left the group, which he started, to Perdue other projects. Adam Chance has taken his place and you can hear him in the song Mayday that they just posted about a week ago. The butts remix is really good. So is Grandma got run over by a reindeer, and Elvira featuring the oakridge boys.

Cowboy hat is Chris Rupp, beatboxer is his brother Adam they founded the group. Beard is Rob Lundquist high tenor is Austin Brown and bass is Tim Foust. So from left to right it is adam rupp, Austin brown, Rob lindquist, tim foust, and then Chris rupp. Chris and adam are the original founders of the group founded in 2000. Chris has since left and was replaced by adam chance. They originally did pop music but since Tim and Austin joined, they have since switch to country while still doing some pop here and there. I recommend checking out ring of fire and sold...and honey I'm good.

Tim Foust (bass) has one of the biggest vocal ranges ever, singing really high and lower than Avi from pentatonix. He once broke a speaker at a concert you should watch a Tim Foust Vocal range video! Lol and Adam(beat boxer) is one of the best in the Nation! His brother is the one in the cowboy hat and started the group, but left to do solo work now that Home Free is getting famous

Home Free were a pro group for 10 years BEFORE they went on and WON the sing off. To answer your question on if they're all still together, Chris Rupp (the guy on the far right) left the group to focus on his solo career, and was replaced by Adam Chance. The transition was a happy one, Chris left with the other's blessing, and helped choose his replacement if I remember right.

if you guys like medleys these guys do an awesome one called Alabama Sampler, I also strongly recommend 'Thank God I'm A Country Boy', 'Elvira', which is a cover, but actually features the original singers, the Oak Ridge Boys, 'Think A LIttle Less', 'Champagne Taste On a Beer Budget' which was written by Tim Faust, (the bass) and... well, just do another one or two reactions to them and the comments will flood with great suggestions, honestly there are too many to list.

If you like the humor of this, you must look up "This is How we Roll". If you want to see what Chris Rupp has been up to since he left, check out his KZbin channel, as well as his new group (formed with his sister, Tristin) called 7th Ave. Crazy talented family, those Rupps.

I always thought he was a little odd. I have been a huge fan of Home Free and even though he's weird, I was afraid a new member would change the group. It did, for the better. Check out Can't Stop This Feeling or In The Blood by Home Free to see his replacement.

I think he's being weird on purpose in that part of that song. You know, playing a character.
