The name of the woman is No-eul. And it is not the first time that she worked in the game because she knew the protocol just by the way she dressed up. And you can see that when she and Gi-hun passed each other in the stairs, she looked backed at her, seemingly she recognized him. So probably she worked at the game when Gi-hun won.

Hey guess what? The name of the north korean girl from season1 was Sae Beok and it means 'dawn'. Another North Korean girl Noeul from season 2 name means 'sunset'

As much as I’d like to see her get a happy ending and raise her child, she doesn’t deserve it after what she’s done unfortunately. She’s murdered countless innocent people.. I just hope she bonds with someone who lives on like Sae-Byok last season so they’ll find her kid.

She’ll likely make a deal with 456 and sacrifice herself by helping him out in exchange for making sure the cancer toddler is taken care of.

@@Wraiven22 My guess is that she's going to be a very important character in taking the down the Squid Games in season 3 (if they actually end… Only American media tends to have that stereotypical happy ending where the Hero lives) After all, they held that shot during the first game with her noticing REDACTED from the REDACTED who is there for similar reasons as her. She might be redeemable.

I know not all people liked the slow set up this season, but i love how this two episodes took their time instead of just being a rehearsal of the first season. Also love how they flesh out the recruiter and we know now how they get the rest of the personal in the pink suits.

The little girl's name is pronounce 'Nah-Yon' (Na-yeon) Her father called her 'na-yeon-ah' as when it's informal (someone close to you) you add an 'ah' onto the end of someone's name if it ends in a consonant and a 'yah' onto the end of their name if it ends in a vowel :) So you would call each other Nikki-Ya and Steven-ah... mostly used when calling for someone or talking directly to them.

I feel like Korean makes you expose how you feel about someone a lot 😅. Reminds me of the ‘usted, ustedes’ conjugations in Spanish. You have to kinda out whether you respect someone a lot just to speak 🙂‍↕️

@@Wraiven22it’s stressful for a non Korean for sure. But honorifics are so important in Korean society. Always asking age first so they know how to address you. They are pretty forgiving with non-Koreans though 😂 I struggled through and I only know the basics.

The thing Gi Hun doesn't understand is that Oh Il-nam was only in charge of that one particular squid game. His friends set up other games all around the world for their clients. Ending this game accomplishes virtually nothing.

No there's only the one Squid game, hence why the Americans had to travel so far to come watch in person. It only happens in South Korea. There is 0 inducation its in any other country.

You made a comment about how good the acting is. One of the things that's made me a fan of Korean cinema is the common practice of their big stars sharing the screen. If you watch more Korean content, you will be impressed how star studded this cast is. I see familiar faces throughout. It's not unusual for big names (like Gong Yoo, the recruiter) to take support roles or do cameos. The Front Man (Lee Byun Hyun, Magnificent Seven, G.I. Joe) is, probably, the most successful to break into the U.S. industry.

17:46 it's just my guess: I was wondering why gi hun wans't anesthetized at first, then i thought it was because gi hun is kinda traumatized of loosing conciousness since he got kidnapped in the van by gas in season 1. I also thought like, it might be because it was an illegal medical practice that they didn't use anesthesia, but on second thought, that doesn't seem to be the reason. Gi hun has a lot of money so money won't be a problem. The dentist would've wanted to use anesthesia either. So it's supposed to be gi hun's will.

They maybe just used lidocaine. I never get Anesthetized when I have a tooth pulled. It cost way more then lidocaine(which makes it painless)

Kang No-eul from N.korea has the same family name as Kang Sae-byuk. 'No-eul' means 'around sunset' and 'Sae-byuk' means 'around sunrise'. So I think they have something to do with each other and will be in season 3.

Do think they have short changed us on this season. It looks like it’s a 12 parter season that they have just abruptly split in to 2 , 6 parters. Abit annoying that we have to wait for the other 6 when it’s already filmed and cut.

It's all about getting new subscribers and more money. This way you can't watch all 12 episodes at once and then cancel Netflix. Doing it this way means that If you cancel now, you'll have to resubscribe this summer to see the second half.
