The first episode took place in the 50's and focused around sitcoms "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and "I Love Lucy". The second episode takes place in the 60's and focused around "Bewitched" and "I Dream of Jeannie".

It’s not just weird events occurring throughout the show either, it’s the production of the show too. In the first episode, the camera angles were like a classic sitcom, (stage orientation), with a half set, yet in the second episode the angles have become more modern and cinematic.

Vision is a fully functional android, programmed with multiple techniques (Okay, I got that from Star Trek: The Next Generation). 50s and early 60s sitcoms had a rule that the couple couldn't be shown in the same bed - just like Lucille Ball couldn't use the word pregnant (when she discovered that she was) - they way they got around it was to have Desi sing a song titled "We're Having a Baby, My Baby and Me".
