I'm one of those who appreciates that the show takes it time (so to speak). I didn't know exactly where the show was going -- though the promos gave significant glimpses. I guess I had enough faith in the creators that I felt comfortable sitting back and enjoying the ride. I also enjoy the week delays between most episodes for us all to process and speculate.

@@mconnaghan Being honest, i was on board since the start, episode 2 was my favorite of the two when it first came out, i understand some of the complains, like the show being slow and without direction in the firsts episodes because of the mystery, but as i see it, it was something episodic and nice to make us get used to the sitcom part. Completely agree, one episode for week was a smart move, give us time to digest everything and when the show ends, we can binge watch like some wanted from the start.

Just hang in there, there was a lot of people that were iffy on it in the first few episodes(although I loved Nick at Nite), and gave up. It's definitely slow at first, but it picks up and now whenever the episodes end I get sooo bummed out lmao. Also make sure Nikki keeps her meticulous notes, there's a lot of stuff you gotta pay attention for. By episode 3-5 you'll be all in. I CAN'T wait for the last two

This show is so clearly the product of a studio with absolute confidence that their fans will follow them anywhere, and have the patience to sit through anything until its purpose is revealed. Even more than Guardians of the Galaxy, they're now seeing no purpose to making something you can go in cold on, because the franchise is just that popular.

Keep a close ear, a lot of the "dialogue" is a reference to something about Wanda. The "seduction" tip was a reference to when vision caught her from the falling city... there's just so many references.

I'm so pleased you're doing this show! It's quickly become one of my favourite shows and, as others have said, it's a real mixed bag and a slow burn but stick with it and definitely pay close attention to everything. There are a whole lot of Easter eggs for stuff in both the MCU and the comics (there are a few great KZbin channels who have covered all of these, if you want to check them out after the episodes). One thing I'll let you know is that the commercials aren't just gags, they're important references to something from Wanda's past. The toaster references the Stark missile which impacted her childhood home, as mentioned in "Avengers: Age of Ultron". That's why it's beeping like that. Without giving anything away, each episode covers a different era and certain sitcoms of that era. The main house set is flawlessly-detailed to imitate certain sitcoms of the era too. I'm told this one was mainly modelled on "The Dick Van Dyke" show, as it was set in the 1950s.

An amazing, special, unique show, that handles the human condition probably better than most shows do, even though it's dealing w/meta humans or whatever. BEWITCHED - is what Nikki is thinking of. It started in Black and White and finished its run in color. The Mother Samantha and her daughter Tabitha were both witches who wiggled their nose when they performed magic. I Love Lucy is probably the closest old Sitcom to the style here in episode one. I loved the throwback to those old sitcoms but was also made very uneasy watching this - something felt off, not in a bad way as it felt intentional.

You should also watch The Last Kingdom if you can. It's almost as good as Vikings. Not perfect but damn good.
