My favorite reaction you’ve ever done. And for a song very much deserving of it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I could not agree with you more. This right here is on a whole notha’ level. I cannot praise them enough for this release. You don’t have to read it, (as it ended up being more drawn out and more winded than I intended it to be LOL), but this is the comment I just posted on it with some of my initial thoughts about it ❤️ “This is...... this is just............. *wow.* I mean, in my opinion, this is one of the best songs that they have *ever.fucking.released.* I can hardly wrap my head around it. I’ve replayed it 4 times now and I have some initial thoughts I’d like to share before I do a full analysis. 1st- Lyrically speaking, this is the best in nearly a decade. The lyrical structure, the lyrical depth, and the subject matter focused on... I mean I really *can’t even.* 2nd- The marriage of his preferred vocal styles in this particular song is *absolutely fucking magical.* 3rd- The rest of the band finally seem like they’re just as much in *their* element with this new direction, as Ronnie is... and that makes me extremely hopeful to see. That sense of cohesion is reflected in this track. This is a FIR masterpiece. 4th- Ronnie is currently in fucking *beast mode.* Literally and figuratively. He gives ZERO fucks what anybody thinks about the product right now, and is just focused on the CREATING. And ya know what? By undoing the chains.....by liberating himself.... and allowing himself to fully play around with- *whatever the fuck he wants,* and experiment- *however the fuck he wants,* he has been releasing some of the best songs of his entire career. This one so good it’s set an entirely new bar. To say that I am impressed with this track, would be an understatement. I’m sure those still reading this have already fully recognized this and I *am* sorry for having to state the obvious one last time LOL 😆 5th- Can we talk about Willow for a sec? First of all, she is just such a ridiculously gorgeous little girl. Her whole vibe is stunning. I see such an old soul in those peaceful eyes of hers. More importantly, I hope she realizes as she gets older just how profoundly important her little appearances in these are. And how meaningful it is to Ronnie to have her there with him when he’s trying to tell his story. How impactful her role in his story has been. See, as the Mother of a 4 year old little girl... the connection he has with her really stirs something so true and and so pure within me. He is conveying the infinite depth that IS the bond between a parent and their Child. And in particular, how strengthened that bond can become if the parent is struggling. Your Child knows you more than anyone could ever. Your Child knows you on a cellular level... and they are much smarter and much more in tune than we often like to think. Our Children are there for us in ways that is difficult to put into words. But those of us who know it, when we see her scenes with him, we know *exactly* what he is trying to say. It’s spiritual. She grounds him. She cherishes every shattered piece of him, and she is unknowingly, on a subconscious level, doing her very best to help put himself back together... To Ronnie, right now, she really is the *only* light that can shine through all of his darkness, the only thing that can plow through all of his immense sadness and pain... .... and right now, is it SHE that gives him the fuel, and the want... to survive. And I get that. I truly do. Maybe someday I will be able to share my own story about that. But for now... those are the things I just *had* to get off my chest, after this whole production just kicked me in it. Keep doing exactly what you’re doing Ronnie and the rest of FIR, because the outcome here is absolutely fucking amazing. *A fuckin’ +* 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻”
