I mean it was a really sick guitar solo, but in terms of hard, not really. I read the comment before watching the video, and had high expectations. I was expecting something like Andy James, or Dream Theater. THAT is what I would consider hard. I mean, just listen to this Dying soul, or the glass prison, In the name of god. Really any Dream Theater solo but those are some of my favourites off the top off my head. Compared to that, Erra solo is a fairly run of the mill technical/metalcore solo.

I am focusing on Orchid which is also waaayyy beyond my skill level but I find working to learn a song like these actually help me improve, even though it is mostly humbling and frustrating it is 100% worth the effort. Fun video by the way (yours as well as ERRA's). ERRA really knows how to make amazing guitar riffs, changing things up so fast your brain doesn't even know what to do. They definitely have a unique sound and their best stuff has been permanently burned into my brain - and I'm better off because of it. Cheers!
