New lore dropped recently -- that was her first take in the booth, but they did several, including longer versions, but ultimately decided it sounded weird overlapping the beginning of the chorus and chose the shorter scream for the sake of the song. I was at the concert in Hamburg where they played that song first time live, and I can tell, that they also nailed that song in the live environment, Emily even did the long scream at same length without issues. The entire concert was really awesome, I‘ve never encountered such connection and spirit between band and audience before. Of course, rest in peace Chester, the band is doing a great job in not trying to replace him. During the entire concert you felt that he has still his place on stage, which gets filled with the spirit from the audience, while Emily co-exists and simply takes in a new role. Really looking forward into the bright future of Linkin Park. 10/10
