Jacob had no stake in you when you first came off the boat. But he trusted you with a gun for his deal, and he became fiercely loyal to you. Jacob is one of the best GTA friends in the entire series.

Little Jacob as a character could be in a serious crime drama and you'd believe he's a real person. A Rasta Weed-smoking drug and gun runner that controls his corner of the underworld with the Jamaican mafia the Yardies. GTA is all about over the top people, yet Jacob is the most grounded person, at least in comparison to everyone else and besides the protags. Badman was over the top. Badman was a caricature. Jacob is the realist guy in the series... okay, maybe next to Cesar.

As much as I think what happened between Niko and Michelle was tragic, if it wasn’t actually for Michelle, Niko would probably never have found Darko Brevic; Michelle was the turnkey to ULP and Gravelli, and those were the people who had the resources and power to bring Niko what he wanted. It’s all very tragic, but Michelle actually helped Niko in a good but extremely twisted way.

She had feelings for Niko, too. You can tell how hard this is for her. She apologizes profusely even though she doesn't have to. She also doesn't have to tell them the Feds are about to get Elizabeta (and she probably isn't even supposed to, because they could warn her, and she could try and flee.) In gta5, she's hardened up from being a full-fledged agent, but here you could really tell she felt guilty. And Niko saying "You fucking bitch!" definitely rocked her.

My 9 year old self was so shocked and devastated. Replaying the story with adult lenses has opened my eyes to how suspicious Michelle was. Her questions and conclusions would always steer towards crime. When I replayed the game years back, I felt so dumb for not realizing this. But I was a kid so I should cut myself some slack 😂

*Michelle is just a Fantasy we all wished was real.* *Karen is the Reality we‘re disappointed for being real instead* It’s just Heartbreaking everytime to think Michelle betrayed Niko and revealed the truth of her other side. Still, I doubt that she just was just a big fraud faking her personality in front of Niko. Michelle probably still exists somewhere inside Karen because Niko is a *CHAD GENTLEMAN* who once made her feelings truly genuine at some point in their relationship proving that she did love him. Michelle literally expressed how upset she was when she learned Niko had been getting into some *coca cola business.* She even begged for him not to make it any harder as it already is for her. When Niko called her a *fricking beetch,* I can literally feel the genuine pain in her voice when she simply called his name, damn it, that was hurtful to watch as the moment carries on and slowly tears their relationship apart.

When I was in my early teens I hated Michelle, because of it. When I grew older I started to understand that even though Michelle was a rat from the start, she actually grew to like Niko. Otherwise this scene wouldn't exist: she liked him, and even though she chose her career, she had the guts to face him and tell him in his face about all the stuff - when she could have easily ghosted him. Just shows what kind of relationships people on the different sides of barricades could have.

I understand why people hate her, but I never did, I always felt just as sorry for her as I did for Niko. She wanted to be with Niko, but her career would never allow it. I even had hope during my first playthrough so many years ago that maybe she would reach back out to Niko and go behind the IAA's back to be with him (which would've been extremely interesting to be fair.) But let's be honest it would never work out, and they both know it.
