Imagine having Jokic entering his prime and your plan for his 5-6 year peak is to rebuild. This is surreal. Your franchise has been irrelevant for 50 years before him. He becomes what he is, wins 3 MVPs, on his way to win 4th. Wins you a Chip, not just your first Championship, but your first NBA Finals. Wins FMVP. He is probably the only offensive player without a single flaw. And your plan is not to win more, but to rebuild. This is hands down the worst FO in the history of professional sports.

Sounds like Wilt, LeBron, Luka, Jokic, to me. Maybe they'd have a better record of HE could protect the rim. Jamal Murray plays in the same conference as Steph, formerly Dame, Fox, Ja, etc. Dudes who actually get to be the primary. To say Jokic has NO ALL STARS when dude put up 32/6/5 in the WCF, AND IS REASON THEY WON, is the most disrespectful statement to make to an athlete! Maybe that's affecting his play. They've won an average of 49 games during his MVPs. Never been the number one seed.

The first quarter of the season has been a weird one. Between babies and lots of injuries to key core players, the Nuggets are currently a play-in team. I expect the Nuggets will not make a trade, unless it makes them a better team. If Denver got Jimmy Butler for MPJ, it would just make them older, shorter and more frail. Understand, locker room dynamic is REALLY important to Michael Malone, and they have a group of talented players who like one another personally.

Ring culture is the only culture that matters. Stats don't mean anything at all on their own. Jokic wants to win, to get the ring. His videogame stats are the product of what he wants, it is never his main goal. Scoring 56 is a great feat but he is absolutely pissed since he wants the win more than scoring 56 and would instantly trade 20 or 30 points if that meant that it could get them the win. Teams that get a ring means they have proven themselves to be winners and not just simply have insane stats. You could be the best offensive, best defensive team but still lose to a team who wants to win more than you do. Winning is all that matters in the end no matter how good you play. It's a team sport and teams win rings, pure and simple.

They're decent roleplayers, but they're treated (in pay and usage) as all-stars. A decent front office and coach could make use of them, but not at that price, and Jokic needs at least one good team mate for the playoffs to be anything but hit-and-miss.
