Years later power shut off in many states, and in Canada went on a black out except for Niagara Falls , the power never went off. , because of the work of Nicola Tesla

The blackout in the early 2000’s was crazy. That was when I realized that the Falls provides power to like half the Eastern Seaboard. Amazing engineering feat!

YAY for George Westinghouse! A giant of a man in finance, engineering, and industrial genius. A man so great and beloved, his employees built a huge, permanent memorial to him. George Westinghouse -- the man smart enough to hire Nikola Tesla when others wouldn't. Unlike Thomas Edison, who put HIS name on the work of all of his inventors and employees and who, in later life became a real asshole, George Westinghouse didn't have a bad bone in his body or an unkind word or thought about anyone and who gave credit to all of his inventors and workers -- their names appear on the patents of the stuff they created. George Westinghouse is the forgotten inventor. He did so much for railroads (invented and perfected the air brake) and for the science of electricity and power generation. His contributions are often overlooked. Charles Steinmetz is also often overlooked by history. Without the work of Charles Steinmetz, the safe, efficient generation of power could not exist. So, why give all the credit to Nikola Tesla? He was a great genius, of course, but his work does not stand alone.

The water after the falls flows out to the Atlantic Ocean through the Niagara River, Lake Ontario and then finally the St Lawrence River.
