The Bulls are lucky to have drafted Matas Buzelis honestly. His level of skill to me warranted a number 1 overall selection. He’s got all the tools already! Plus he’s aggressive. Usually it takes years for players to develop his skill set. He has it all. Now granted consistency will be key. I think keeping a veteran presence and good coaching will also be monumental in his development. Two things that make me nervous in Chicago. But Bulls hit a home run with the 11th pick. Lastly, he’s confident and keeps the energy loose it’s exactly what the Bulls young guys need. Something that the Bulls need.

Geets from Lithuania! Matas is Mathew in Lithuanian. And the accent is the same, on A. And Buzelis accent is on E. Like Monta Ellis. Say like Buzz+Ellis :D I believe you will say his name often, so I'll try that you pronounce it correctly ;)

IMO, at this time, Nikola Vucevic, at age 33-going-on-34, is really a good backup Center. Thus, if I am Billy Donovan, I would start Jalen Smith, who is younger, a better shooter, a better rebounder, and, definitely, a better athlete than Vucevic. As for Zach, he and the Bulls Brass should just "BARRY THE HATCHETT". Right now, there is no market for neither of them, so the Bulls should move forward with Zach LaVine as the starting Small Forward (3-position) and Nikola Vucevic as the backup Center (5-position).

Right 👍🏿 Vuch is too slow and soft on the court. Him and Billy Donovan is the reason why the bulls couldn't make the playoffs and running an eight man rotation is what killed the Chicago Bulls chances when it comes to competing and Winning and when you got other teams running a 15 man rotation with plenty of energy. This is where Billy Donovan is the blame and the front office knows about it. So why keep starting over when you don't have a developing coach because those guys are all in trouble when it comes to their future the Bulls lose out again on talent because Billy Donovan going to make sure those guys do not play. This is why I rock wit Haize and Pat. They not overly-disrespectful to Chicago athletes. That’s rare in modern Chicago media. The rest of the media is trashing Vooch, just cuz we need him gone. The rest of Chicago’s media has adopted Twitter Culture and idk what purpose that serves, professionally. Just cuz things don’t work out don’t mean the player is bad. It just didn’t work out. You can encourage separation without attacking the athlete on the other side, if it’s unnecessary.

I'm good with Vooch up to the deadline and into next season. If we had a true center to develop...a young prospect... I'd want him gone asap. But we do not. Vooch can do his job and not get in the way of our young guys. I do believe it is a better deadline market for him...or a next season, expiring contract market. But I'm not worried about Vooch being our center next season. Vet, durable, reliable. He can fill his role.

I think the underlying issue is AK values his players so much that negotiations won't even start with other teams. They basically hear his asking prices for these players and don't take him seriously enough to open negotiations. To me that's the only possibility of players not having a market. There are plenty of teams who could use a starting C like Vuc, bad teams taking on a Lavine contract, and damn near every single contender wanted Caruso. AK has zero clue how to negotiate and it's blatantly obvious. I don't think he has won any trade he's made yet. Which is crazy. You know you are down bad when you getting fleeced by the Kings lmao just sayin

There's no need to panic or be concerned over Zach & Vooch's inability to get traded. The Bulls are stuck with the contracts they offered to these players. However, if the objective here is to go into rebuild mode or tank for a 2025 top-10 draft pick then both Zach & Vooch will have to accept their new reduced role on the team while under contract with the Bulls. Gone are the 30-plus mpg of PT they had the previous yrs. The Bulls are entering a new era of basketball and Zach and Vooch will have to adjust playing with Matas Buzelis, Jalen Smith, Josh Giddey, and give way to developing players i.e. Dalen Terry, Julian Phillips and Ayo Dosumnu.
@lamonteshockley7873 ай бұрын
The Bulls don't have a problem with Vucevic or Lavine both are very good consistent players. This is a good problem. The other teams are missing a great opportunity to get two good veterans. Golden State should be knocking the Bulls doors down for Lavine and Vucevic. They just lost Klay and D Green is old and has lost his effectiveness. They are perfect for what Golden State is missing. Veterans that can help Steph with instant reliable scoring. They can plug Vucevic right in the center 18 pts 11 rbs guaranteed. Lavine takes over for Klay 24 instant pts 3 pt legitimate scorer and an inside terror. Golden State has the capital slots to plug both players. Release D Green.
