Ppl are in a for rude awakening. The Bulls just launched CHSN which they are actively seeking subscription paying customers and digital streaming platforms to do business with. Wouldn't be smart business to partner that with a team with no stars and destined to tank. AK appears to be setting the Bulls up to kill two birds with one stone. He is going to move on from pieces to improve the team while setting an agenda to make the play-in to protect that ability to keep the top 10 pick. But the new roster will get out the play-in and make the playoffs. That is what the Bulls are going to do.

On a team-friendly contract, I'd keep Lonzo as the 2nd team PG. Trade Zach, Vooch, Carter and Craig for sure.

I’d be shopping Vuc, Zach and Lonzo fit this style of play. Not saying Vuc doesn’t but I feel like he has the most value at the moment if we are to trade him.

If this is a disguise way of tanking please lose with some dignity and some form of competence. I worry about the growth of the young players. In my eyes they is no instruction as far as game planning and player roles. What Billy is saying doesn’t pass the eye test?

Who care if Billy don’t want to coach a rebuild team. As a Magic fan I remember Steve Clifford say he don’t want to coach a rebuild team and the Magic blow it up traded Vooch and Gordon anyway lol.. the Bulls should’ve blow it up traded Vooch and Lavine in the off-season

At 7 wins and 11 losses, Bulls are on pace for around 32 wins. If they move Zach and/or Vooch at the deadline, should make that number lower.

The bulls need to make some type of 3 way trade and get the Bulls Mitchell Robinson and send Vuc to a 3rd team! let him sit out and heal all year and tank !

*The Bulls team defense sucks. It's obvious. But, it's not as bad as it seems. A lot of their poor team defense occurs with Billy's deep roster rotation. A player enters the game and has to adjust on the fly defensively. Add to that are the young developing players like JP, DT, MB, THT, and JS and how quick they can make team adjustments defensively. I like that Billy D goes deep into his rotation as most coaches limit their rotation to 8 or 9 players a game. I think the Bulls defense will improve the more they play with each other. *Everyone loves the rookies. They're like a brand new car with that new car smell. Matas Buzelis is the Bulls brand new ride, and he shouldn't be sitting idle in the driveway. Drive him. So far he's a poor shooter who needs time to get into an offensive rhythm. But he doesn't lack confidence and confidence is like horsepower. The more of it you have, the faster you can go. Free Matas!

I disagree with your take on per 36 stats. Per 36 is really a good stat to evaluate some player's contribution.

No it's not. Per 36 does not account for a player's endurance. Players get tired and shots fall short. Haize is correct. Per 36 is a better stat for a player who plays close to 36 mins vs a player who plays 18 mins.

The Bulls aren't playing for anything right now. But nobody can tell Billy Donovan that, tho. That's why I continue to say that coaching is the Bulls biggest problem right now. Billy Donovan doesn't seem to see the value in investing in the Bulls younger players. At all. #FireBillyDonovan

Once the trade deadline passes, you'll see more of the young guys. He's been using Philips and Terry more. Matas is getting time with Patrick out. You don't wanna risk a young player losing confidence by throwing him in the fire too soon. Besides, gotta give Zach and Vooch their minutes to up their trade value.

1. This is why analytics suck. Matas isn't playing because he misses ALOT of defensive assignments and rotations. And his shooting from the perimeter isn't good. He can find stats during garbage time but what is that worth. 2. As long as Zach is here. The Bulls are not actively tanking and they shouldn't. So Matas has to either grow or wait until that turn is made for the direction of this season. 3. The Bulls don't suck. Our Loss column is also inflated by the 0-3 record we had without Zach. If he plays those games there is a strong chance we are 8-8 or even 9-7 right now instead of 6-10. Which gives a different look at where this team stands.

Man, you gave some bad takes. Matas is missing NBA-level rotations because he does not get playing time to learn NBA defense. Hard to learn and adapt to something without exposure. Give him the chance to mess it up more, so he has more film to watch and more reps. Do you learn an instrument by not playing it? Bulls are actively tanking but tell the public that they are not. They need ticket sales and to give a fall sense of hope by saying that we are trying to win. Matas playing is not going to change your record. We are not losing games by 1-2 points, we are losing by 20 points at halftime multiple times. We are not winning anything anytime soon, so play the guy with Zach. "Loss column is inflated" Man, when will you get tired of making excuses for this team? Our offense is solid, but our defense is awful. Zach is playing NOW, and we are still losing games by 20. Zach's playing might give us 1 -2 more wins, but we will still have more games than losses. You reallyhealth need to reevaluate the product you are consuming. It is artificial colors and flavors that are destroying your heatlh when there are more organic products out there

@@OP_-pk9hm look at the end of the day. Either a guy knows how to play defense or he doesn't. I think we have to stop babying these rookies. Matas has been playing basketball his whole life. If anything instrumentalist had been playing the piano their entire life wouldn't you expect than to know the different between a basic chromatic scale and a non harmonic scale in minor? Of course you would. Basic defensive rotations shouldn't be something you have to teach on the pro level. I'm sorry. He is doing fundamental things wrong. Hence why it is hard to see minutes. Young players should learn from what Kawhi told Dejountae. If you want to see the floor. Learn to play defense. Second, if Zach is not out those three games do you think we still lose all three, if so then idk what you are watching. Last if the Bulls were tanking they would not be trying to compete in these games. Now unless Billy is showing frustration with the team for "show" then his frustration to me sounds like the plan is to win until the plan isn't. Maybe we become a tanking team but at this moment that is not the goal.

Bill Russell wasn't a big time scorer but he did everything else on the floor. Defending. Passing. Rim protection. Leading fast breaks as a center. These are all things Ben can do. So whether you have a sense of basketball history and knowledge doesn't discredit the comparable.

This is what so many fans said they wanted. They said blow it up for 2 years. That's what it looks like. We'd be even worse without Zach and Vooch. We'll be trading them at all Star break. So expect bad and inconsistent bulls play for 2-3 seasons while we find a star.

I think we would be seeing higher stats from Coby if they didn’t pick up Giddey. Having a Coby/Ayo backcourt with Pat at the 4 would've made for a better defensive starting lineup

Definitely. AK is dumb as a rock for getting Giddey. Unless the team has the nerve to bench him, which I doubt. Meaning come off the bench. Nothing against Josh. But Coby played all last season and trained all offseason to prepare for THIS season. As our starting PG. Thats was his mindset. And what does AK do? He gives Coby's position to Giddey. Not to mention Coby was feeling himself...and believing himself...a leader in that role. It was a crap move by AK. Josh is not good enough to have just been given the keys to the team. Hopefully Coby can continue to flourish in his yet again changed role.

Big facts on that last topic. I bought KZbinTV just for NBA and being able to watch whenever I wanted. Now I use a stream and catch games when I can but don't bother trying to catch games I miss. Anti-Consumer ass behavior.
