Maybe, but something feels wrong about the fact that the officers asked Niko to leave just so that they wouldn't have to worry about the EDLs getting violent. Like why did they choose to tiptoe around the literal racists instead of doing their job to protect against hate and violence. It's kind of insane how groups that are founded on hate are allowed so much leeway in the first place. Defund the police etc.

Maybe the police just let them spout off to prevent driving them underground where they are harder to monitor? These groups are plainly idiotic...but in some way I prefer that they get their little moment in the sun every now and then. They do their silly march. Only about 1/10 of the numbers they claim actually turn up. They get a brief moment to spout their rubbish, and everyone gets to see what clowns they are. They turn up for a 'rally' all fired up, but when someone gives them a microphone and asks them a question, they suddenly can't string a sentence together! I'm damned sure that if I cared about something enough to go marching, I would have it straight in my head what I was marching for.

@@dav7361 actually they can't. People are allowed to gather and protest. They can't send them away just for being there. They recognize him being there poses a risk to him. They are there to keep the peace and him leaving is in the best interest of both him and the police. For the police they prevent any violence from the protesters. While Niko avoids any altercations. And again the police aren't allowed to intervene really before anything illegal happens. And honestly I think this particular cop actually did a really good job explaining just that. He didn't demand Niko to leave only recommended it and gave their reasons why.
