Wow, I've listened to many different examples of Bach's famous Chaconne, and I must say that this is one of the very best interpretations I've ever heard. Magnificent!

I don't like this interpretation at all, unfortunately. The runs sound very note-y to me, I don't agree with where he takes rubato at all, and there's no shortage of wrong notes that interrupt the musical flow.

Bro has never played a wrong note under the insane pressure of an international marimba competition before. Your other opinions are valid, but nitpicking wrong notes is so cringe

@@Mgmin7724 I get that the piece is really hard and exposed and the pressure was high. I'm not trying to take away from the guy, I was just saying the things that made me not enjoy the performance. I have experienced similar things at some of the competitions I've entered. Sometimes it goes very well but sometimes I spray wrong notes all over the place, on occasion many more than Ivanov did.
