Our son was sick for 17 years. We learned to always ask questions, especially if you don't understand the procedures or why they are necessary. Always, always have an advocate with you. Never ever be sorry for asking questions. It saved our son, more than once, from unnecessary treatments, and once from doing something that would have killed him. Love your channel and how you inspire and lift women up. Bless you.

Nikol, I cannot begin to tell you how good it is to just sit down and watch your videos. So relaxing. I feel like we are girlfriends. Thank you so much for your kind words. I am 72 and always prided myself on being put together well. My MIL, whom I loved, lived with us for the last 3 years of her life, then I had surgery for cervical cancer. I am doing well, but the radiation has destroyed looks. I feel unseen most of the time. Thank you for giving me hope, and all of the makeup tips! I will never look like I did , but I can make the most of who I am right now! God Bless you, Nikol.

I am a now retired physician (radiologist). I was the sole care giver for my mother in our home for the last two and a half years of her life. Sadly she passed away two years ago age 93. She had many chronic conditions so I spent much time in doctor’s offices, the ER, and hospitals with her. I discovered so many discrepancies in her care. On the way home I would just shake my head and wonder what happens to patients without an advocate? All I can conclude is a good deal of them do not get better or even die. I am so very glad you were there for your father and that you had the courage to challenge strange lab results. In my family we have many stories of family members speaking up for those who are sick and saving them time, trauma and even their life. I often think that those who spew their negativity, often need the light of truth to shine upon them. They have gotten away with their ugly behavior for so long they think it is “their right”, when really it just shows us who they are. I remember the “good ole days”, when the common practice was: “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.” One can only hope that by holding up a mirror to their ugliness they will begin to see what the rest of us see. You and your family (including your fur baby) will be in my prayers.

I know it’s disheartening, but I promise not all of us are this careless…. It could also be a laboratory error but the chain of custody is very simple and it’s so critical I’m horrified. The nurse or tech draws blood and immediately labels it and sends it directly to the lab. This is worth notifying the hospital about because had it been overlooked and he was given a transfusion with the incorrect blood type it could be fatal and other serious reactions… Your dad is very blessed to have a daughter like you. Nicole, it’s me again. Listening to your story about your dad. I just came home from an iron infusion which I have been doing for three years now because my hemoglobin levels does not stay up so I have to do iron infusions every three months. I had to have a blood transfusion. My hemoglobin was down to four, but I have a hernia that rubs my diaphragm and bleeds. but at my age, repairing a hernia is kind of scary to me. And they say the recovery is quite hard so at my age I have decided to go ahead with the iron infusions and keep my blood up. Thank God you were there for your father. You’re a good daughter honey. I have a daughter it does the same for me. She’s definitely my Advocate.

I love the eye shadow! So pretty. And I also love the sparkly lipstick. It is very different than I thought it would be. The shadow and lipstick go together really well!

What a wonderful video! Love your message. I will definitely be watching more of your videos. Also, kudos for having the labs redone. I'm a retired nurse and was impressed that you questioned the labs.

Love your style! Love your tutorials. I just turned 60 and find I "need" more make-up now than I have ever used in my life! I've always been a minimalist. A little neutral powder, a little mascara, lipstick, done. Not anymore...now it's "cover the age spots"....more spf....hooded eyelids....disappearing lip line, etc...etc.....I have to admit, all the steps can be overwhelming, but I finally feel and "look" like I know what I'm doing.....Thank you!

Omg thank God you spoke up at the ER. I am my mom's health advocate and I know that doctors are not very good at accepting there may be a mistake. Good for you❤❤ I love that base, I use it all the time even for work and change up jacket & scarfs. .it's so New York ❤ The coat is reminiscent of the 60s London fashion wave. I love it.

Nikol, I watch you often and learn so much. I am 72 and do not want to get stuck in that look that was popular in my youth like so many women do. You are an absolute delight. My Mom who was my best friend while still being my mother, would tell you that those negative comments are from those who are jealous of your success. There are so many supportive girlfriends; we do not need any of the negative ones. You bring so much fun and joy to what you do. Very true about hospitals. I live in SWFL and understand the heat and humidity. However, if you can use the coat,; it is a yes. It has drama, in a good way.

Yes! An advocate is so important! I learned that from taking care of my mother who had a brain tumor. Ask as many questions as you need and don’t let the medical professionals intimidate you. I had to push a lot for the best care for my mother all during COVID. Thank you for the real talk. Your channel is fabulous.

Thank you for being so enjoyable. I have learned a lot here and being an 83 year old clothes horse, look forward to your videos. I will keep the good thought for your Frenchie. We have one. He is a brindle . Having bred , shown and trained dogs all my life, I have found this breed, to be surprisingly intelligent. Much like some of the working and terrier breeds, known for their brains.

You listened to your intuition and were willing to take action. That's fantastic, Nicole! Our intuition is in our gut and too often we are afraid to speak up. You are an inspiration, thank you for sharing your dad's story and i know you'll help others. I just love how intentional you are. And i love the lipstick!

Good for you being an advocate! As my husband’s full time caregiver I’ve had to learn to “trust my gut” with healthcare. We have a great team but still question if it feels off. They do work for us and are practicing medicine.

Beautiful! Love the look, the fashion show and so happy for you and your parents that your father is better and that your "spidey senses", a.k.a. discernment, alerted you at the ER. God is so Good! God bless you, Nikol. ❤
