NIKON D5100 ERROR PRESS SHUTTER RELEASE BUTTON APPEARING

Thank you very much techxian, I repaired my Nikon D5100 with your help, same cracked red gear. I could not see the crack because I have not microscoope but I pulled the red gear easly and I put glue on it. Now is working great again. The problem by my Nikon was that I could't use the screen view mode because immediately get stuck, then I had to open it and move some gears byy hand to unblock. Best regards from Mexico

Amigo! Tengo el mismo problema , al ver el video dije "no hay manera de que pueda hacer eso, no tengo el aparato para medir la carga o descargar para que no se dañe la cámara como dice en el video ", después vi tu comentario y estoy pensando en animarme. Como hiciste para no correr ese riesgo? se necesita también un soldador pequeño? Me daría mil años de vida tu respuesta

Hello i have 5100 and it is functioning normally in photo mode however if i trying to turn on liveview it fails with the same error. can i fix this problem using your way?

Did you resolve the issue? I have the same issue and it only appears with a lens attached is it the same for you?

@@alexanderbohlen5923 thank you! I bought my 5100 used to get a feel for the hobby and immediately jammed it when trying out all buttons. I'll see about taking it apart tomorrow
