Nikon D5200 Live View Video Timeout Fix (Firmware Patch, also D5300)

Modified the firmware for Nikon D5200 dSLR camera in order to remove the Live View timeout limitation. This fix will effectively remove the maximum timeout for Live View and allow you to stream indefinitely use the camera (at least longer than 24 hours). Can be used for video capture devices and use them as webcam or similar function.
This fix was performed on a Nikon D5200, the same process can be followed to unlock Live View functionality for D5300 camera:

Working 100%, If you have 1.03 already installed in your camera, then you need to google for the 1.02 and downgrade, but the process is the same as Qurai Ryu is showing in the video. Thank you sir !

Fantastic!! Working in 2023, you need to DOWNGRADE from 1.03 to 1.02 if you're current in 1.03. I did this by searching the web for past versions. EASY

Worked for D5300, but you need to upgrade to 1.03 instead and patch it.

Downgrading is the same as upgrading. I just did it myself

Same process different results. Both are Firmware modification based changes. D3200 1.03 - Change 15 - minute LiveView to 3 - hour D5100 1.02 - Liveview - 3 mins to 6 hours

Have You tested by setting the live view to 15mins? Visually you can still see the 15mins but in reality it is now set to unlimited.

@@QuraiRyu Hi! me again, so I've tried it but I set the Liveview at 30 min which I assumed should be the maximum setting to let it do unlimited(24 hours) liveview. After a couple of tries, it does shut off after about 1.5 - 2 hours. Checked on the patch site again and it has an open/close (15min) indicated - does this mean I should be setting it at 15 minutes, NOT 30 minutes?
