But other than that...dope review. I bought my D750 in 2015. Has been a money maker to this day for images. Trade in value $400 to $600 in dropping fast do to the mirrorless wave. Btw 12mp is plenty for IG resolution. Shoot it right no need to crop.

I have shot stills and video on my D750. Stills are great. Good quality video but the Auto Focus is useless unless you want the focus "wonking" look throughout your video as the camera constantly searches for the subject and rack focuses back and forth all through your shot. If you're going to try to shoot video with the D750 plan on going with a tighter aperture for greater depth of field and use manual focus only. My upgrade is going to be the Fujifilm X-H2, mostly because I like the colors that come out of Fuji but also because their autofocus is almost as good as Sony.

Hi River can you can explain what you mean by "full frame look"? Thanks
@MichaelScheele4 жыл бұрын
I think he means depth of field at a given field of view. A 50mm f/2.8 lens on a full frame (Nikon FX) camera is considered a normal lens. On a APS-C (Nikon DX) camera with a 1.5x crop factor, one would use a 35mm f/2 lens to have similar field of view, depth of field, and background blur. Also, a full frame camera typically exhibits lower noise at any given ISO with the same pixel count than a APS-C camera.
@just_eirik4 жыл бұрын
Is the dynamic range and noise performance as good on the a7III as on the D750? Or better maybe?
@s87343jim3 жыл бұрын
By design, Sony A73 would have an edge because it has a BSI sensor on high ISO. However, in the real world, there isn't much practical difference.

I can go outside at night with my 2.8 micro lens and get REALLY good pictures out of it because of how good this camera handles low light, just like the man said in this video. I also did concert pictures even at very low light and the results were reeally good. But if you're looking for a nice video camera, I wouldn't recomment it. No 4k, no 120 fps, wack autofocus.

@othmaan954 жыл бұрын
If the lighter weight and an electronic viewfinder are not a big deal for you, you should definitely go for a D750. I had a similar dilemma about a month ago and In the end, I decided to get a used like-new D750 for around $800 and I have never been happier. The D750 is the best deal ever right now considering the value you get for the money. The sensor of the D750 is as good as the sensor of any of the new cameras. The dynamic range is insanely good and it can compete with most of the +$2000 cameras in the market right now. The new cameras that come out now only offer more features such as lightweight, better autofocus, electronic viewfinder, and better video features. If you're into photo only, you will not find anything better than the D750 as sensors haven't developed significantly photo-wsie.

Just watched your review on the d750 thinking of getting it would you recommend it for what I will be using for ? Also will the 18-300 mm lense wok good with it ?
@sundster_17964 жыл бұрын
Hi! I have the 18-300mm as well, but i wouldn't recommend it if you aim to shoot portraits.. The 18-300mm lens is intended for shooting outside, they tried to make an all-in-one lens with which you can be ready for every scenario, but it doesn't perform quite good, especially if you go big with 300mm. I recommend you to buy a 50mm 1.8 or 1.4 lens. You can even switch to DX in the menu if you cannot get close enough with it. AND it shoots just marvellous at night, other that the 18-300mm which is just shit when it comes to low light. Have a great day! :)
