@aSuleymanli Maybe we weren't as clear as we could be but what we said is still true. The sensor in the P7000 is not larger than the P6000 it is the same size at 1/1.7in, but the resolution has been dropped from 14MP to 10.4MP which means more space for each pixel on the sensor , therefore making each pixel more sensitive to light giving better quality pictures in low light. So in effect, lowering the resolution (on the same sized sensor) does increase the image quality.

i hate when these reporters speak such irrelevant things. ok I'm gonna fix his mistake: lower pixel count doesn't improve picture quality at low-light conditions !! in this camera's case it has a bigger sensor which helps to achieve better image quality at low-light conditions.

Lower pixel count in same size sensors increase pixel area and therefore light gathering capabilities, which translates in better image quality. It’s understood here we’re comparing two same size sensors
