Great video! I have a serious issue with the HDMI out of the Z8. When I'm using a monitor connected to HDMI, and I press record and then press again to stop recording, the monitor loses signal for about a second and a half after stopping recording. This is even worse when attaching a Wireless video transmitter like Accsoon Cineview HE. Every time I stop recording, it loses signal for about 6 seconds. Is there a workaround for this? This makes using the Z8 on a professional film set not possible. It would create major frustration for the crew to wait for the monitor image to return every time one presses record. Professional sets are 100% wireless. Did you encounter this issue? If yes, please contact Nikon and let them know the urgency to get this fixed. Help!

i don't think all the kinks have been worked out with external recorders yet. i hope there's a firmware update soon.

I have exactly the same issue with my external monitor, it’s frustating. Otherwise excellent.
