Probably the best video out there on the Zfc! I find myself coming back to this video just to brush up every now and then. One thing I noticed, you don't actually need to press the button down first to change the shutter speed, at least if you're switching between 2-4000. I completely agree that button is annoying though, particularly for the iso dial. Thank you for the great info!

I have had Nikon cameras since the 1970's. I kept progressing and the cameras got heavier and bulkier. After getting a P1000 I noticed how that monster was like carrying a cinder block everywhere I went. I wanted to get a camera that was feather light yet had many possibilities for pictures and videos. Night time, time laspe, trains and architecture are my hobbies and the Zfc fits the bill for these nicely.I am very happy with the camera and your tutorials have really inspired me to get to know it better. Thanks for the great videos. I load them on my iPhone and watch them over and over as I am riding the rails to my next photo shoot.

Great tutorial. It helped getting up to speed with the Z fc. My settings have evolved though, mainly to have full control in street photography. Maybe it might help some people: I use M mode, with aperture set to the manual focus ring of my lenses. That way I can control Aperture, Iso and Shutter directly. I usually set the shutter speed as required and adjust the ISO dial to the light conditions. That leaves the aperture ring to finetune my exposure. I tend to use centre weighted as my metering mode. I have the little button next to the shutter set to AF settings, allowing the front and back dials to change AF modes and area. Lastly I set the Fn1 button to change between single, L or H firing. Together with both wheels I can quickly set any speed I want. When there is no time to tweak exposure I just set the camera to P mode and make the shot. And I always use back button focus. Once you get used to that it is the best way to focus a scene. Continuous AF is always my default, when just pressing the focus button once it works as S AF, keeping it pressed makes it Continuous. Best of both worlds.
