ZF is my favorite camera, but for utility you will probably want a Z6iii. I shoot a ZF, Z8 and z50, so didn't make sense for me to buy the Z6iii. If you like the vintage look you will probably end up getting the ZF anyway though it grated on me until I purchased it even though I had the Z8 already.

Zf if you are into photography and not really video (though it still does Nlog) and Zf style and functionality it what you are into (it's fun). Otherwise Z6 III for the max.

Hey Kasey, thinking of getting a Canon R6 Mk1, for event photography and occasional video work as one of my client requires 4k 60. Im thinking of getting the 16-35 f2.8 mk II, the 24-105 f4 and a 50mm 1.8, all adapted EF glass. What are your thoughts? I’m upgrading from my old ghetto nikon dslr setup. Thanks! I don't do photography so I don't know. R6 can't make custom modes for video, but it does have nice looking 4k 60p Overheats though. EF lenses are amazing, but not a huge fan of zooms. You're asking the wrong guy here lol. Probably a great setup for photography.

Adapted lenses aren't great for professional event stuff, add weight and less reliable. I would go z6iii, 40 f2, 24-70 f4 to start with maybe a z6 as a backup.

Tx for your video. May I ask your opinion about Nikon ergonomics? (I know, this video is not about that. -_- ) Don’t you miss the rear dial (for iso or other things)? Less buttons? Less customization settings? Personally I really miss EasyISO and other customizations of the D750. And I think this make the Z cameras really slow for reportage (wedding for example), in terms of use and changing settings. (Comparing to Sony or Canon.) And it is incomprehensible why Nikon limits customizations (for example, it is no possible to set iso by dials, but we need combo -_- ). Thanks in advance.

Blogging is it any easier to connect your phone to the camera visually an app . Phone screens can be much bigger so easier to keep your content flowing as you like it. I use SnapBridge when waiting for birds to return . It means I can be more situational aware. Is this worth doing a video on by your good self ? I use it when I can just need to be aware it’s safely mounted on the camera mount

Light flicker - u can fix it (only when shooting) by setting shutter speed to frequency (or multiples of frequency) of the power grid. For Canada 60Hz grid frequency = 60/120/240 fps. flickering disappears.

Noise actually tricks social media platforms into providing more detail in the shadows. I'm on a 32" BenQ monitor and the footage looks great. CPU pins bend easily. You can do it, but make sure to lift the safety latch before taking out the old one, and keep it up till after the new one is in. It's honestly easiest if you just take the motherboard out to do it, especially for a first time experience. Second best option is to lay your PC on the side and at very least remove your graphics card, and memory to give you ample space. Bright lights will also be your friend. Not trying to scare you, but I don't want to see a video with you pissed cause you bent the shit out of the pins. (credit card can fix them usually btw).

I think this footage is just underexposed, nothing would be lost by adding 2/3 to a full stop except the noise. N-Log really seems to benefit from very generous ETTR as being native 800 it handles/brings back highlights much better than it does shadows

Z6iii sounds like an upgrade that will suit your hybrid needs and it has a Flippy screen for such. The partially stacked sensor also does best with high speed photography with 20fps.

It speaks volumes that the stabilization on the Z6 III struggles even in super slow mo. The flickering artificial lights can be avoided by putting all settings to the same frequency as the mains frequency in your country, I assume Canada has the same 60hz system as the US, Europe has 50hz. this means shutter speed of 60 fps or 120, and frame rate of 120 or multiples of that.

Congrants on the new CPU even though getting an X3D variant makes no sense for productivity. X3D CPUs are made for video gamers. The 3D V-Cache in X3D SKUs is slapped on top of the CPU cores making them run hotter than their non-X3D counterparts, that's why AMD locks the overclocking ability on the X3D processors and lowering the effective frequency the CPU cores can run at. 5600x, 5700x, and 5800x would make much more sense for productive tasks. Still, 5700x3d is a better CPU overall than the 3600x.

Why does your hair look dark blue/purple ? If you’re trying to balance the red, just REMOVE red form the shadows instead of ADDING blue. Unless you’re adding blue to cover up the noisy, out of focus Nikon shadows 😜
