I just bought a Z6ii refurb form Nikon, they had $500 off then another $200 off because its a refurb. Total was $1800+tax plus free shipping. Its great and it its a good companion to my Z6. Honestly there's nothing wrong with the Z6, its been rock solid for me. Im totally happy owning two bodies like this for a while. I really like your videos, goos stuff!

I use my Z6 for landscape photography. Therefore, there is absolutely no need for me to upgrade, as I have no advantages with the Mark 2.

I managed to snag a used Z6 a little over a year ago for less than £1000 with an FTZ their was glut of them when all the influencers were dismissing them absolute bargain I will probably just invest is s lenses for now until Nikon release the Z8 hopefully they will have caught up by then

In regards to the used market, z6 at around $700 or z6ii at $1100. Using it for Milky Way, seascapes, dont think I am doing wildlife, at least I dont want to yet. Give up USB power and longer shutter speed of 30" for extra money for lenses?

I would go with the z6i, z6ii isn't much different

2 slots include a SD when you have a lot of SDs already. Good to have a few QXD cards for video, but they are expensive. Dual processors for faster and better focusing in video in low light. Good reasons to get the Z6ii. Sure for slow walking the focus of Z6 can keep up in many situations like your sample. Some people claim Z6ii is a bit faster and more responsive because of dual processor. So I hear anyway especially 4K. I can believe it though. Buying a camera for using the next 5 years or more, the newer one makes sense. I was considering Z5 but in very low light some people complain it has trouble focusing at times. So no, Z6ii or Z6 is better than Z5 in low light and Z5 has cropped 4K, but again not everyone needs 4K. Budget does matter to people though, especially hobbyists who are not pros selling their work full time.

I think Z6ii is better and the winner in low light with less noise (high ISO base). If you dont shoot in low light, Z7 are better because it got more resolution to enlarge big photos and the price is the same as Z6ii for now

I bought the Z6 because the second generation was not yet on the market when I entered the Z-system. The only alternative was the Z7 - but as I prefer better high-ISO performance versus megapixels my choice war clear. If I were new to the system I would take the Z6 II - or a used Z6. In the near future I will need a second body, but that purchase can wait until spring 2022, when new models propably will be appearing on the horizon.

I bought z6ii and 28-75 f2.8 the ppl and animal AF are extremely fast!!! And the main point is the Z6 vs Z6ii retail price is not make a huge difference in 2022.

Have just updated my Z6 to v3.4.0 that has added support for the soon-to-be-released FTZII & better eye tracking that's noticeably improved. How it compares to the Z6II before it also has AF updates (if they haven't already been optimised), I cannot say.

A camranger would work as as backup the camranger 2 even has a memory card slot so even more backup.

Now you had time with Z 6 ii and recently got the ZF, how’s the z 6 ii image quality compare with the new ZF. The ZF reportedly uses the same sensor. Does the new image processor help improve image performance significantly?

The z6 already has great image quality no question. The zf has better stabilisation and autofocus to help get you better results.

hi, already have a z6. now that the z6 has firmware 3.40 AF works great. want to have a second body to replace my d810. want to ask which is a better buy: used z6/ftz/z35mm 1.8 new z6ii/ftz used z7/ftz they are all at almost the same price range, thanks #Russ&Loz

Depends if you need the crop of a z7. You should see our other video comparing z6 to z7.
