Nikon Z6III Overheating and Stop Recordings at 4k60 on 2024/06/26

sorry to hear about your issues. have you tried recording 4k60 on different CF Express cards?

I reset the Camera and reformatted the drives and just finished the video in 6k 60, 4k 120 No Volume in this mode & 100 & 60, HD 240 & 120. Cheers!

I would not expect unlimited recording in any mode above 4k30 in its top quality mode in a reasonable environment using a quality memory card on a consumer grade MILC. This is not a professional grade cinema/broadcast camera costing tens of thousands of dollars. Even the Z9 with its far superior thermal design vs the Z6III cannot provide unlimited recording in its top modes/frame rates/quality in any environment. So, what you are experiencing is not an "issue."

I went from trying to record with a DSLR to a Video Camera with a Fan in it because of these issues. Since then I've had zero problems recording up to 2 hours straight without overheating the video camera. The DSLR would record 18 to 20 minutes and stop due to over heating.

I agree. Panasonic S5II & IIX plus the R5C and the FX30 are champs. If you want a dedicated video camera they mainly have fans built in them. Camera companies are still trying to force you to buy them. They do not want Hybrid Cameras to perform as well as the more expensive video models. I always find a way to make it work. Or I just get rid of it and buy something that will work for me. Cheers!
