Another great day at the refuge! That's exciting to see so many Eagles.

Thank you! It really was. Eagles are often spotted there but usually a LONG way away and only one or two.

I loved the blurred image with the single Sandyhill Crane very much. It has a dreamy feel to it. The video clip just before the deer clip was amazing too. The alternating patches magenta and cyan is quite appealing. Another good one Phil! Thanks for sharing ...

The young eagles are great fun. Especially when you got the six flying together.

Thank you! I was thrilled to already be rolling on a video clip when they all showed up together.

@ I drove past 7 Islands in East Tennessee today on my way home to Kansas from NC. Your video really made me want to stop, but it was cold and I needed to go home. 😁 Some day…

Wow! Phil!!! That was awesome. I was especially mesmerized enjoying the "kids" (eagles) play around among themselves while the Moonlight Sonata was playing in the background. That was a very nice touch to a very nice video.. Well done Mate! Looking forward to your next "video-in-video" ... 🙂💙

Great photos and fun videos. The deer were unexpected! Nice work, thanks for sharing!

Thank you! Deer can often be seen at this location but usually not in a way that leads to nice photos. That seems to matter less in video clips.

A very relaxing and enjoyable viewing experience! 5:35 - I think there were actually nine - there's another one hidden behind the rightmost crane, between the base of its wings... As I was watching the clip towards the end, I remembered having a dream once in which I sat down and played the adagio sostenuto part of Moonlight Sonata with as much skill - except I don't play the piano at all... Anyway, beautiful shots!

Thank you! If I was a piano player, I would certainly try to learn that piece. I've always loved it.

Awesome. Love the lapses and the video...... and the eagles. We have them here but so few and far between. Watched a bit earlier and finished this evening. Been watching the new and the fires more than anything since it is just over the hill. The beach areas I show are what is or has burned. Bags packed incase we are evacuated so had to finish this evening. Thank you for sharing. 🙏🤗💖

Thank you, JP! I've been wondering how you are doing as I catch glimpses of the situation on the news. I wish you and everyone out there the best.

@@PhilThach Thank you Phil. We were evacuated yesterday afternoon with the Kenneth fire down the street - a minor inconvenience compared all those that have been out for a couple of days and have lost everything. Heart breaking for those folks. still packed but able to get to my computer finally. The beach where I love to shoot..... 💖

Great captures of the cranes 👍 Is there any way you can compare this setup to the z50ii with the 400mm f4.5?
@PhilThach6 күн бұрын
Thank you! Let’s see, the z50ii with 400 4.5 is cheaper, smaller and lighter. The z8 with 600 PF is better in every other way.

Great video Phil! Which replacement foot did you buy for your 600mm PF? I'm currently using an Arca plate on the original foot. Thanks!

Hoping I can get the Z8 one day, used and lower price. Still grateful for what I have to work with though (used D850.) Not sure that I'd ever want these 5.6/6.3 lenses though - can be pretty dark in some parts of scandinavia. I'd keep an older 2.8 lens for sure.

It can get pretty dark here too. D850 is a great camera! What 2.8 lens do you use?

@@PhilThach 300 mm 2.8 vr the first version. Was glad to get such glass - after trading in some items. Works great with the 1.4 tc. Still a bit short for birds ofc
